I just recently started standing up for my 20-min sets. I felt like I got a better hang because the hanger wasn't resting/rubbing against anything that might lessen the tension on the actual structures of my penis. I also go more sore this way, yet the set was more comfortable while it was going on. I don't know if you play into the LOT theory, but I have a relatively high LOT (around 8:30-9), so standing up probably suits me better (it's closer to my LOT, and I should probably switch to straight out or over-the-shoulder eventually. I'm seeing how this first month goes with SD). I'd say try both, and pick the one that makes your internal structures more sore (in a good way!).
