There is not enough lead in the copper and zinc to ever get worried about if you are using the materials that alot of us have read about. The ROP I built uses oxygen free copper from McMasters. I searched on the web for the chemical composition of oxygen free copper and found...

Oxygen Free copper is produced in several grades:
BS C103, Cu-OF and C110, Cu-OFE are melted and cast in an oxygen free atmosphere to give very low oxygen level, typically under 2ppm. For use in vacuum seals, e.g in glass vacuum tubes, the C110 grade needs to be oxidised on its surface at high temperature to gives good adhesion, but even small amounts of phosphorus can reduce the adhesion, so the level is kept below 3ppm.
Cu-OF has conductivity almost identical to ETP, but Cu-OFE is about 1.5% better. OFHC (a registered trade-mark) appears to be similar to Cu-OFE. HC means 'high conductivity' while OFE means 'oxygen free electronic grade'. Copper purity is typically 99.997% for both.

So if ALL of the remaining trace elements in oxygen free copper were lead (which is highly unlikely) then the lead content would be 0.003%. Lead in the copper used is not an issue.

As for the zinc, all of the ROPs that I have heard of use the pure zinc corrosion inhibitor rods from McMasters. Again lead is not a concern. ...

Can you get poisoning from the ROP. I think it is lead I'm talking about. Cause I think when lead builds up in you it is never removed. Someone in the news just died from lead build up in his system. So can this happen with the ROP?

skin contact only, mine is not tight...I am just scared that it could ever fall off. It would not be an easy thing to explain at work. :)

Does the ROP have to be this tight or is "snug" skin contact all that is necessary?

mine is snug enough so it will not fall off stretching, running and jumping, and comfortable (except sometime when i get a hard erection, but It's not too bad and i don't mind it

Great posts guys, really good stuff, I am learing new stuff everyday.

What section of home depot did you guys find the latex tubing? Also, how permanent is marine goop? If I put it on the metal and tubing, will I be able to take it off later on if I want to change the tubing? Thanks.

you can get it in the plumbing section I think, marine good works great, nothing is permanet though

is it just effective (bigger balls/penis) if you wear the rods down the sides as oppose to the top and bottom?

well i had just gotten my ROP in the mail,

thank you supra,

and i wore it last night and this is what happened:

alot of erections, huge hanging balls although they were kind of sore, and every once in a while i would feel the zing in my balls. the only bad this that i was awake from 2:00 am to 6:00am, but i will see what happens tonight. i feel kind of at peace right now, i feel lovely actually, we'll see what happens, i can't wait to start having fucked up dreams.

I have had my RoP on for a couple of days now and it is quite comfortable. I would like to test it for voltage but cannot get a reading.

The multimeter works as I have tested a 1.5v battery.
When testing the RoP I reset the scale to dc voltage 0.25v but get no reading.
The copper and zinc rods are touching my skin.

Does anyone have any suggestrions that might help?

I've just changed the tubing on my ROP and now I'm wearing it on my sac instead of the whole package, I can already feel some tingeling sensations in the scrotum aswell as in the frenum area (for some reason). I'll post again when I've had it on for a while!

can anyone tell me where i can find the zinc corrosion inhibitor rod on the mcmaster web site? i have tried to find it but all i can come up with are zinc plated, threaded rods and frat sheets of the stuff. please help.

When you go their site, search for "zinc plugs" and then scroll down to corrosion-inhibitor rods with plugs.

Thats wierd. I shave the whole area and get definite skin contact. Do you have alot of hair? Thats all i can think of. Not sure how technical you are but you need to touch the probes to the metal rods, not rod to skin... If you already knew that...Sorry :)

Mark thanks for the reply.
Don't appologise, I am not very technically minded :)

However I was touching the probes to the metal rods whilst wearing the RoP. I tried
the red to the copper and black to the zinc and vice versa.
Also I tried wearing it on my fingers and thumb to make sure the rods were making contact with my skin, then I touched the rods with the probes but no response :(

Any other ideas?

You are sure you have the DVM set for DC volts at the low end of the scale?

Do you have really dry skin or lots of hair ? Not sure what else...where did you get the ROP?

I have a Robin multimeter model 1100. I know it works because when I test a battery it responds.

I have it set to DC voltage 0.25v. which is the lowest scale on this model.

I don't have dry skin. I am not shaved but trimed really short. But I also got no response when I tried the RoP on my fingers which are not hairy or dry :)

I bought the RoP from Supra so the materials are good quality.

Thanks for trying to help anyway Mark.

I had a thought after I made my last post. I would take fine sandpaper or steel wool to the rods to make sure that there are no oils on the rods. An SOS pad works cool too.
