I used the ROP just now for a jelqing session using johnson & johnson baby oil. After I cleaned it with soap and water, the rods have no more voltage! It's at 0. Was it the oil or soap that caused it?

Can anyone help? How come I have no more volts on my rods anymore? I need a replacement.

Oh, forgot to mention that my balls have gotten MUCH bigger since wearing it. I think my gains were more gradual than some, but now it's like I have two of those small steel stress relief balls (kind of like ben-wa balls).

*jealous* So your balls have grown from the ROP alone? Why won't mine grow??! They've become harder and more resistant to force (hehe) but not bigger.. :(

You got it. I've got to go shopping soon, so I'll probably have some before Monday.

I'd say most of the growth is from the ROP. I also do DLD's testicle health routine, so that probably has helped alot, too. Another thing I do is use a heating pad often. I primarily use it to help get to my max flacid size so I can stretch better, but it also makes my crotch a little sweaty. That probably makes for better electrical conduction, too.

Oh, couple other questions for you, AC, if you don't mind. How long have you been using the cocoa butter, and have you had any problems with the latex in the ring because of it? I figure that since butter has oils in it, it would ultimately be destructive for the latex for the same reason you're not supposed to use oil lubes with condoms.

I used it all during the first month of use on the ROP...as of late I have not worn my ROP, I can explain why if you want, it has no bearing or effect on the ROP though.
Ok, you got me curious :)

AncientChina said:
I can upload a picture of them when I get home so you can compare and contrast the degradation and see if it really had that large of an effect on it........
That'd be great. If I remember right, we both started wearing the ring about the same time, so I'll just compare my ring to the picture.

AncientChina said:
What you will notice though is more oxidation of the copper and zinc...IE tarnish. I had to scrub my ROP with steel wool every night.
I get alot of oxidation anyway, and scrub it down everyday before I shower. So, it wouldn't be a big change for me, sounds like.

AncientChina said:
By the way I am very sloppy with my cocoa butter application if you, rub enough in and give it time to set it shouldn't have that graet of an effect on the latex hose and oxidation of the metals....
Good to know. Thanks.

Just to let you know a real fast way of removing oxidation is putting the pieces in a salt and white vinegar solution. And if you want it to shine polish it up with baking soda and a piece of cloth. Its alot easier than scrubbing with steel wool which can ironically cause some oxidation.

Dont use solution at all, it makes the ring less effective, the current will flow more through the water and less through the skin. Do not use solutions

What does it matter if the metal shines or not?

How does it make it less effective? And as for making it shine, some people just like making it shiny. Just wanted to add something just in case someone wants it.

The ruff stuff on the ends is where the super glue was, the brown spots are from the copper etc.....
Looks just like mine, 'cept for the superglue marks.

I posted a picture of my ROP just after I made it here, you can compare and contrast the difference in the latex here. If you need another picture just let me know.
Nah, not necessary. My curiousity's been satisfied :)

Has anyone figured out a good source of the Zinc yet? I originally used zinc
plated in mine but I don't really like the idea of other "unknown" metals against
my nutsack. For you guys that have ordered from Mcmasters, how about help a
brother out and hook me up with at least the item number because I swear I cannot not find it on their webpage. Also, for those who have ordered it, anyone looking to sell just a 2 inch piece that they have leftover???? I have found the copper and latex with no problems at my local Lowe's.

Thanks,
koooky

On the McMasters site, it's called a zinc corrosion inhibitor rod with plug. The part number is 3606K1.
