Spotting and very normal. This can be reduced by warming up and down but in most cases, after a good session you will see temporary spotting. I was expecting a large bruise. You can go with the VinVac but do not go so intense. You can even pump without it if that feels better. The main goal is expansion, so any way you can get expansion without issues.

Most cheap pumps don't have a separate "valve pip", as in the cylinder is just attached to the hose and the pumping mechanism. Doesn't last long, modified or not.
