Retract both sides to the very bottom. And then tighten the side that has a bottom to see if that side is working properly. Sometimes, when dirt, grease, skin, or even hair gets into the screw system, things get jammed up. Happens to my JES all the time.

So far I've always attached as low on the shaft as possible when hanging with the LM. As well as when I do manual stretches with it. Now, is there any upside attaching as close below the glans as possible?
I tried it once or twice, and I can do the bundled stretches way easier, but I'm way more careful when stretching that way, just in case. But is there any upside to that or any downside always attaching low on the shaft? Should I alternate?

Yes, you can use the LM's plates and attach as close to the glans as you want. What DLD is trying to say is to don't go too high on total weight load. Too much weight load can pull too hard on the plates, which is very close to the glans. If you place the plate half way or near the base of the penis, you can go quite high since the plate is using the ligs and muscles rather than just the tunica and septum near the glans.
For bundled stretches I do prefer higher/below the glans, but for regular stretches I like to be lower/down the shaft. But since I don't want to reattach the LM once I'm in it, I might alternate for now. As for hanging so far I've only tried a slight twist during vac-haning once.You can alternate if you feel your glans is taking a beating. You don't have to alternate if you don't want to, and take advantage of the flexible length you have for a nice bundled hanging.
