I actually, had a different theory on this, which depends on who is buying these dildos. Basically, my theory is that if mostly married women are buying them, then they may be taking into consideration that they might want to opt for something closer to normal, or else risk intimidating their husbands. Not all women are size queens. Most have a preference on size while a few don't care. Larger than average, but not crazy big, will give you the highest probability of being a woman's ideal.
