That's tricky. You know it probably wouldn't even be worth the effort, but you can always do your hanger attachment, put the cord down your pant leg and then attach some weights. Would have to wear loose fitting jeans though. Seen people do them w/ steel/iron weights, but those were in the 3-4lb range and not big enough to cause a scene.
