Got a winevac few days ago and broke both stoppers that it came with trying to get them in [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] . Ended up slipping universal pump sleeve over the top and it gave a good seal for pumping and is working great . Has made a crazy difference in pressure . Gone from 180 max to nearly 190 in just a few days .

I just got a wine vac and the plugs are different then pictured in the OP and is a bitch to get on. How did you use a sleeve instead?

Hey terribly sorry that i've been neglecting this thread. I'll be making an effort over the next few weeks to help everyone with the mod.

this mod is awesome!...glad that worthless [words=http://TLCTugger.com/MOS]VLC[/words] finally came in handy and wasnt a waste after all!!...thank you!

Zulu, if your willing to foot the bill for shipping the stoppers to me and back I'm willing to fit them for you. It depends on the stoppers you have but I'm confident between heating and stretching I can get them to work. If not I'll buy the parts to make you a coupler so you can use them.

Reply here if you are interested and I'll shoot you my addy in a pm.

Worthless becomes worthy:) Or was it a worthy item that was deemed worthless for lack of understanding?:)

If anyone is interested here is how I make the adapter to use the skinny little tapered WineVac stoppers.

Very simply go down to a hardware store, (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) and get about 6 inches of 3/4" clear semi rigid tubing. You will not need that much but now you have it if you make a mistake.
Put about and inch of water in a microwave safe measuring cup (Pyrex) and nuke it until it just boils. Put the end of the tubing into the hot water and wait about 30 seconds.
Now the fun part, the heated tubing will be very soft and pliable so take care here. Take your [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] without comfort ring and stand vertical on the counter with room to work. You are going to start at
about a 15 degree angle and push the tubing down and over the air release valve on top of the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words]. It needs to go down until it rests about 1/16" above the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] plastic housing. That is so you can push down and release the vacuum slowly.
If you get it down and in place on the first try, AWESOME. If not let it cool then pop it off and reheat and try again. Once you get it down and into place let it sit for a few hours to cool and allow the tubing to form to it's new shape.
Congrats, the hard part is done. Now to fit your "wine cork" to the tubing. You will only need about an 1/8 inch gap between the vacuum stopper and the top of the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] release valve so trim it down and you are done.

Start off without the stopper and use the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] exactly like you have been but when you are ready for more simply press the stopper into place, put the vacuum pump on the end and hang on for the ride.
It's going to be INTENSE the first time you try it but once you do you'll never go back to the gator only pull.
Once you are ready to stop simply grasp the tubing at the upper edge of the release valve and press down.

Now BEWARE! The extra pull is amazing but keep your sessions fairly short, say a 5 minute max, until you know how your body is going to react. I'd also suggest you try a few trial runs to make sure everything works properly before your first regular session. Incase you put the tubing too close to the housing and don't get a fairly quick release, squeeze the tubing just above the valve and roll your fingers forward. That will pull the tubing up and push the valve out the bottom to create more clearance or to take the tubing off altogether.

We all know this but "Use at your own risk"....

Great tutorial Scat, Thanks for adding your ideas!

Like a charm!
The tubing you need is Clear PVC or Vinyl tubing that is 1"od X 3/4"id, you can buy it from HomeDepot, Lowes or other large hardware stores.
The local HD sells it in bulk and I picked up a foot for about $1.50 and have most left over. I recently changed the pumps to the Rabbit brand as the square base seems to work much better. You can pick one up from Bed, Bath and Beyond for about $13, here's a link to my model.Metrokane Rabbit
Just follow the instructions and you will be amazed at the results!

Good to know! Great to have added to the data base.

I'm not even going to say what came to my mind when I seen the word Rabbit, and the added wtf is going on here when I seen it was at bed bath and beyond. LMAO.

I think that someone said a different wine vac was needed. I would pick up a couple and return what does not work.

measure the diameter of the valve and someone nice will get back to you with the diameter of the valve for a normal [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] and whether it'll work :D

It will work great with the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]X40[/words] as well. If you use the stoppers I listed above you won't need the clear tubing but it is optional.
Items you will need:
The stopper and vac set listed above
A microwave safe coffee cup
A large squeeze bottle like a French's Mustard bottle with a nice tapered top

First you need to loosen up the stopper, put about a 1/2" of water in a coffee cup and nuke until steaming, remove the center of the stopper, it just pops out from the square end then place the bottom (round end) in the water. Let it heat for about 30 seconds and the silicone with relax and it will be much more pliable.
Now quickly remove the stopper from the water and shake off excess, stretch it a few times with your fingers then slide it down as far as you can get it to go on the top of the tapered bottle.
It should go down about halfway then let it return to room temp. (about 10 minutes).
Now when your ready to remove it, it's going to try and stick, this is normal so don't worry, using the back of a fingernail gently push upwards and lift it away. Turn the bottle and repeat and it will slowly work up and off the bottle ( you might have to go round and round a few times but don't get in a big hurry and tear it).
Once it's off you are ready to attach it to the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words], make sure the valve is clean and dry, take the stopper and your going to roll (more like fold) the bottom section back onto itself, kind of like rolling a condom but this has serious ridges so it will only roll so tight, 2 or 3 folds is all you need.
Now place it against the valve and un-roll it down onto the valve. It should end up about 1/16" to 1/8" above the outer shell. That gap is what allows the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] to release so make sure you have a gap there otherwise it's going to be hell breaking the seal to get it off!

Here is a pic of what it should look like when finished.

Here is a pic of the adapter (clear tubing) using the same vacuum stopper on the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]X-40[/words].
In this case you still remove the center valve from the stopper but you don't heat the stopper, you heat the tubing to stretch it over the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] valve.

but see when using the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]x40[/words] you have to open and close the valve. how u supposed to do that with the stopper on top of the valve? Its not like the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]X-40[/words]'s valve because of the latch.

If you use the valve on the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]X40[/words] use the adapter sleeve, the stopper will pop right out and you can use the valve. I never needed to use the cutoff on my valve so I did not use the sleeve.

Man i am having the worst luck with the wine stopper fitting the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]X-40[/words] top . I tried stretching the wine top and i had it almost fitting but i ripped it . So i am starting again with heating it under hot water and spreading it out . I can only find those Vacu type brand that everyone has been breaking. I guess i can try that tubing attachment but we have no store like that in the little town i live in ?
What have been your guys safest way of spreading the wine top without breaking it . I was going to try to microwave the whole thing in water until it boils? then spread it.
Is that smart , any opinions would be great.

Yeah I went to the local hardware store and they had the right size out of stock so I bought a smaller size that fits the topper correctly. But now I just has to enlarge the other end. But I will heat it up and give it a shot.

Well after all the messed up attempts I finally got the clear hose to fit over the head of the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]herc[/words]. And right after the first pump I could feel that the pressure was going to be on another level. Wow no wonder they are making the Extreme with the same set up. It's kinda interesting that someone made a Mod to the pump and the company saw the benefit and decided to incorporate the idea. Thanks guys for the Mod !! It is well worth it's weight in Gold.

Well I have been getting into the swing of using the wine pump mod. I do seem to get alot of air bubbles in the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] when adding pressure with the wine pump. Have you guys had much luck in pumping the wine device without the air bubbles getting into the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words]. Any help would be great. Thanks

Posted in my routine thread and I'll post here. I use my air pump on top of the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] to get that extra air out and vacuum it to the max. Simple air pumping set up.

I simply put my extra sleeve for the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] on to the air pump cylinder and roll it down with a little on the inside. I set the cylinder on top of my [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] and the sleeve makes a perfect seal.

The [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] does get great vacuum. The gauge was hitting 10in/hg before the release valve would even start to open. I was able to go all the way to 20in/hg before I hit my max length and had to stop.
View attachment 27584
Felt so great as the base was maxed, but I got gaitor bite even with the sleeve on. Thanks guys. Easy set up if you have an air pump set. Hope I max the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]X40[/words] soon so I can upgrade.

Hoping that [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98]Penomet[/words] comes with a attachment also, like the Extreme [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Hydromax[/words].

Used this method for the first time today, it's only my second day owning the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words]
But wow, I reached 163 for 2 minutes on the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]x40[/words] where my max yesterday was 150. I did 2 10 minute sets and afterwards my flaccid was an inch longer and girth was half an inch bigger. It was very exciting. Didn't last too long(being only my second day) But it was awesome to see. Thanks for sharing this.

Also, kidray, I used a nipple for a baby bottle instead of the included cork because I couldn't get the cork thing on, and it worked pretty well on my [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]x40[/words]. There are different sizes bottle nipples so maybe you can try that.

I used one like this
Dr. Brown's 2 Pack Natural Flow Level 1 Standard Nipple by Dr. Brown's http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004J34TCO/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_sx9Hsb0EKZ5WH

I cut off the flat part, which probably wouldn't be necessary, slipped it right over the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] valve and then put the vacu hand pump over that, I had to hold it down while pumping it, it worked great

I actually just did it with a brand new bottle nipple and the only modification to the nipple that needs to be done (for the [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]x40[/words] atleast) is just the very tip needs to be trimmed off, or the hole needs to be widened just a tad to allow more water to come out. I just bit it and tore the hole open a little more. I can take pictures no problem but I only have my phone and don't know how to upload pictures off it.
