Hi, (again),
I have been looking at the flickr page - seems there have been quite a few people who have viewed the photos.
Has anyone had any trouble viewing these photos ?
and, has anyone tried to suBathmateit their own photos to the Fren_trying ? I only see one from Phallus.
I hope these photos have helped people.

Jan

Hi everyone, just quickly posting to say that anyone who wants access to the flickr pics can send a PM to either me or JanBarrel. I would be more involved in the discussions but lately ive been working a lot (14 hour days) so I will go through all the posts as soon as I get a day off :)

For those who have or are about to tie, remember that patience and hygiene are key for tying the frenulum :)

EDIT: if wanting flickr page access, please include your Flickr username or email so we can find and add you to the flickr group

Hi Phallus,
Thanks a million for the help with the flickr account - I really appreciate it, and I'm sure the people joining do as well.
My crazy work is tapering off, so I hope to have a bit more time now.
Regards, Jan

Not after i tied, but I did this when i was maybe 15-16 (and untied ofc), i cut maybe 1 or 2mm and it bled alot. I dont remember how long it bled for or how i stopped it, but i think it stopped bleeding by itself and iirc, healed without any more incidents.
My frenulum goes pretty high up so your mileage my wary since youve tied it off already. Have lots of time, a fair amount of gauze/ and dont panic :)

Hi Durd,
Thanks for the info, really helped !
I tried it - cutting about 2mm into what is left of the frenulum. Bit of bleeding - stopped it by just holding gauze on it for a minute.
Using scissors is tricky because the slope between the blades forces the skin away and the cut is not as deep as expected.
Will wait and see how it heels first.
Keeping it clean and applying anti-septic cream regularly.

Hi Everyone,
I have added several people on flickr to the "Fren_tying" group. This should allow these people to suBathmateit their own photos to the group.
Note that the group is private, and the photos shouldn't show up on flickr or 3rd party searches.
Please feel free to add photos of your frenulum, and your tying process, and the results. This will help people who are trying to decide whether to tie or not.
Regards, Jan

Can one of you guys post the pictures here for us to see?

Hi Durd,

Thanks for the info - will try it for the next round.

The current cut is healing well, but it seems it wasn't deep enough - as though it didn't go right through the upper part into the softer lower part. This means the gains were not as much as tying, but we'll see how the next cut goes.

Hi Durd,

The skin on either side of the tie becomes quite white and puffy and can look a bit like puss. The constant application of cream can also have this effect. Compare to my photos and let me know whether it is similar.
As long as you clean it daily, and use antiseptic cream twice a day you should be fine. I also checked on mine very often and tugged quite a bit - didn't seem to have much of an effect.

Hi Durd,
Congrats man !
That first one seemed to take forever in my case.
Please try to take regular photos of the healing process - I didn't get this right in my set of photos.

Regards,
Jan.

Update: The shallow cut I tried is really not having the effect I had hoped for, it seems the ties work better.
I might try one last cut, but if that doesn't work, its back to ties for me.

This might seem like a stupid question but why shouldn't I just cut the frenulum with a razor blade and thats it? I have some antiseptic spray in here.

Hi,
You could do that, but Im not sure how well it would work. Firstly there would be quite a bit of blood, and things could become very slipery. Secondly, the skin dying probably makes that there is less of a remaining flap. The healing times seem to be about the same. I think you can control the tie better - even if the needle is through, you could still pull it out, and re-position it.
Regards, Jan

Update: The shallow cut has healed quite nicely, but for the next round I think I'm going to put in 2 or 3 shallow ties. Still considering other ways of reducing the remaining bit of skin under the glans - its about 6 mm long and 2 mm thick - any ideas out there ?

PLEASE HELP

I have been tying my frenulum for 2 months now and there is progress. However, I performed my 5th tie 12 days ago and it still has not broken, its cutting through but im not sure why it hasnt cut through yet, i tied a good amount of skin. It almost looks like the skin is healing over the tie. Im not sure though. Should I cut it and re-tie or just leave it for a few more days??

Please help,

thank you for any help

He so i didnt have the patients for the fren tie so i ended up just taking a sterilized razor blade and cut mine about 4mm the cut was clean the skin has healed but im left with a little skin tab on my shaft from the left over fren that was cut. I was wondering if i should cut the tab of skin off or will it just flatten out

hey ryan, congrats! u just might have the best name on [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words]!!!!

I cut it a little before, just enough to release tension and now i cut it a little bit after reading this thread. Now just have to wait for it to heal.

Hi MrPennState,
The skin should die in the process, so I doubt it will join up again, although anything is possible.
My first line of action would be to cut the current string and check, then, depending on what you find, re-tye with thicker string.
You could also post a picture, then we could give a better opinion.

Advice required: After some lady on top sex with too little lube, the skin just behind the glans tore open slightly, at right angles to the frenulum.
Can't quite decide exactly what happened though, but it healed in about 3 days.
Has anyone else had this kind of experience ?

I need opinions from experience tiers PLEASE.

I have been tying my frenulum since December 2012, there are clear results, I now have a mushroom head. I have done about 6 or 7 ties and removed alot of frenulum however, I am still unable to have sex without any lube, due to pain. Why do I still have slight discomfort and pain even though i have removed alot of frenulum near the head. I am going to contact a urologist about this issue and maybe perform a frenoloplasty procedure. I simply want to have sex with NO LUBE, NO CONDOM, NO PAIN. I feel like something is still pulling on the head but there is a gap where the frenulum used to be.

Thanks for any replies guys

Most likely scar tissue pulling. Be sure to keep some good stretching methods in the process to ensure any scar tissue also stretches with the goal. Scar tissue, could make the frenulum pull even greater if it heals that way.

Ouch! I haven't experienced that myself but I'm wondering if it has anything to do with a slight bit of scar tissue? It could be that the area isn't as elastic. Perhaps some creams and gradual stretching will make it more pliable in those situations. I'd be interested to know more but I imagine it's down to a lack of lube lol.

Hi Mrpennstate123. Speaking from my own experience when I tied mine, it took me a good 1-2 months as I remember before I could take my mind of any uncomfortable sensations. By that time any lingering discomfort in the area was gone. This was after ONE tie. So having said that, I think you might be doing too many ties in too short of a time to let it fully heal. I imagine if I did 6-7 ties on myself in the space of a couple months, I would be feeling sore too. And that's not counting lube-free sex!

It can vary from person to person in how fast we repair but I would let yourself heal and give it enough time to recover from the tying sessions. Go easy on it for a few weeks :)

Unless you have a gigantic frenulum I'm guessing you have been doing very shallow and gradual ties? It might be that one final deep one would be better and then let the whole thing heal for a good time, but that is entirely up to you I don't know how much you want to do. I'm just thinking out loud :)

Let us know how it goes!

Hi Phallus,
Agreed, definitely a case of too little lube.
I cant see any scar tissue there, so I think that skin is just less stretchable, and was protected by the frenulum. I've never heard circumcised guys complain about this though.

Hi MrPennState,
I agree with Phallus, took at least 2 months for things to heal up properly. I could masturbate during this time, but sex was a little more tricky due to the lack of direct feedback when things hurt.
Keep us posted !

I popped mine, I had a plastic ear stretching kit, had small gauge, and just upped the size until it got so thin it eventually popped, gain free.

Perhaps your girl is just not wet enough?

I want to give an update on myself. I did 2 ties and have freed up my frenulum a lot, since it was really meaty. I like this procedure because you can do it gradually little by little until you are satisfied with the amount of freedom you get. you also have a degree of control, and sometimes its better to move the new knot a bit down in the direction of your pubic area rather than in the direction of the shaft. This way I can leave some in there, allowing me the freedom I need while also giving me a chance to pull it down and make the head position in a way that gives a lot of friction. There are couple things I noticed though:

1.A regular double knot seams to work better since you can tie it tighter and tighter, constantly having restriction going. With a regular knot it took me 5 days, but with a surgeons knot a week into it It still hadn't come off. Maybe there is an even better constricting knot.

2. I tried with mono-filament string and also fishing line of different sizes. I found that the ultra thin sewing mono and the thick 17lb test fishing line to not work that well. The 12lb test worked really good. It has a diameter of .013''

Hi Wang Chung,

Thanks for the feedback !
I did some reading on knots beforehand, and ended up using a double surgeons knot, but had to replace the tie half way through, so I think you have a point, just as long as the knot doesn't become looser.
I have tried cotton string, elastic sewing yarn and dental floss - the cotton seemed to work best, but difficult to say as each tie seemed quite different. I will try your fishing string on the next tie - I was just always worried that the knot would release slowly.

It didn't seem to slip. What I should also mention is that I would tighten it every day, and thats how the constricting action of the knot worked. There would be more space a it cut through the skin and I just tightened it back up. I did this with my fingers when the string was long enough, but when I trimmed the string two sets of pliers worked fine as well.

Wow,
That's pretty thick, probably a bit thicker than mine was.
I put my first tie in quite deep, and at the point where the glans and shaft meet. This left me with a slight bump of leftover frenulum skin on the glans.
If I had to do it again, I would probably start about halfway between this and there the frenulum disappears into the glans.

Anyone else have a better suggestion ?

Very thick indeed. This seems like it may be a pretty big process.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the advice.
It costs £345.00 for Frenuplasty surgery, but at least it would all be done in one session.
Plus I can let the urologist worry about the veins!!!

I will post on here how it goe, if I do the surgery.

I was going to suggest surgery as an option as it is very routine and simple. At about $600 USD not bad! My question would be is the surgery done in one session?

Hi Vociferous,

If you do go for the surgery, please post some before and after photos.
It will be great to give other guys both views, (i.e. tying and surgery) so that they can make an informed decision.

Either way, let us know what you decide.

Good Luck !

Hi guys. I wanted to share two things even though I haven't finished reading through this thread yet.

My father was burnt with acid which resulted in something like a frenulum occurring on his neck- from his chin down. It prevented him from looking up. His primary doctor was first class (better by far than the plastic surgeons). To fix the "frenulum" (which was very tough because it was scar tissue), he made a Z-cut over the "frenulum" which allows the skin to sit just like it should. Seems to me, the frenulum breve is the same thing, just smaller. For those with phimotic rings, it might be worth looking into more. It's difficult to picture as the cutting is in three dimensions.

The second has to do with the skin-tag-like remnants from those that excise deep. There are homeopathic solutions for skin tags. One I've used before is putting castor oil on them till they shrink up. It might be worth trying before slicing them off.

Hi Capt_Yellow,
Sounds very interesting - thanks.
The castor oil approach - does that have to be applied accurately, so that you don't kill off surrounding skin ?

Will do!

Going to the doctors tomorrow to see if I can be refered on to a urologist, to get operation done with the Nhs for FREE.
Wish me luck!

Ps: Apparently people who have had the Frenuplasty done, have had higher sensitivity on their scars AND THIS HAS LED TO PREMATURE EJACULATION! FUCK THAT.

But we shall see.

V.

I believe frenelum tying could also help people that have skin bridges. Sometimes i see that in adult entertainment and wonder why they dont take care of it. This tying procedure would get rid of that pretty well.

Guys,

I just wanted to say THANKS for giving me all the information that I needed to do my tying up of the frenulum. I have a very thick frenulum that caused real problems for me. First I put a small stitch in with regular thread and then the following day felt braver so did a larger stitch with stretch thread - recommended here in this group. On day 7 the threads were both loose and I cut the loose ones away to find a band of thin dead frenular tissue. I then cut that with a sterilised razor blade - no pain. I am still a little sensitive on the frenulum but REALLY pleased with the result. I may do another stitch but keen to let things settle and give it a try out with my wife first.

Can someone also please add me to the Flickr Account

It also seems that some of you are having trouble with a tight phimotic ring. Phallus of Osiris you had some pics that looked like slightly whitish skin with a pearl-like appearance with fissures around the foreskin - it looks like what I have had diagnosed as Lichen sclerosis which has been treated with a high strength steroid cream.

Check this out for more information:

Thanks again.

Yea I'd be interested to see what can be done in this area by the NHS...and for free! Hope it all goes good!

Hey Janus,

Thanks for looking into it, I'll have to check out that cream at some point. Since I tied my frenulum over a year ago, it has gradually given more slack to that pearl-like ring and so it's no where near as bad now :) In fact it seems to get better with Jelqing but I will still try and get that cream.

If you PM me your Flickr name I will add you the Flickr group straight away if you haven't been added already :)

Also, if anyone who has suBathmateitted images in the group would like to post some here that would be great. I perfectly understand privacy so if you don't want to that's no problem at all.

For those who are tying now or are thinking of tying soon, I wish you the very best! Whatever you do just make sure you read and understand as much as you can about it beforehand. Whatever your choice is you want to be confident in it, so if there's any problems feel free to post!rofl
