He so i didnt have the patients for the fren tie so i ended up just taking a sterilized razor blade and cut mine about 4mm the cut was clean the skin has healed but im left with a little skin tab on my shaft from the left over fren that was cut. I was wondering if i should cut the tab of skin off or will it just flatten out

I cut it a little before, just enough to release tension and now i cut it a little bit after reading this thread. Now just have to wait for it to heal.

Hi MrPennState,
The skin should die in the process, so I doubt it will join up again, although anything is possible.
My first line of action would be to cut the current string and check, then, depending on what you find, re-tye with thicker string.
You could also post a picture, then we could give a better opinion.

Advice required: After some lady on top sex with too little lube, the skin just behind the glans tore open slightly, at right angles to the frenulum.
Can't quite decide exactly what happened though, but it healed in about 3 days.
Has anyone else had this kind of experience ?

I need opinions from experience tiers PLEASE.

I have been tying my frenulum since December 2012, there are clear results, I now have a mushroom head. I have done about 6 or 7 ties and removed alot of frenulum however, I am still unable to have sex without any lube, due to pain. Why do I still have slight discomfort and pain even though i have removed alot of frenulum near the head. I am going to contact a urologist about this issue and maybe perform a frenoloplasty procedure. I simply want to have sex with NO LUBE, NO CONDOM, NO PAIN. I feel like something is still pulling on the head but there is a gap where the frenulum used to be.

Thanks for any replies guys

Most likely scar tissue pulling. Be sure to keep some good stretching methods in the process to ensure any scar tissue also stretches with the goal. Scar tissue, could make the frenulum pull even greater if it heals that way.

Ouch! I haven't experienced that myself but I'm wondering if it has anything to do with a slight bit of scar tissue? It could be that the area isn't as elastic. Perhaps some creams and gradual stretching will make it more pliable in those situations. I'd be interested to know more but I imagine it's down to a lack of lube lol.

Hi Mrpennstate123. Speaking from my own experience when I tied mine, it took me a good 1-2 months as I remember before I could take my mind of any uncomfortable sensations. By that time any lingering discomfort in the area was gone. This was after ONE tie. So having said that, I think you might be doing too many ties in too short of a time to let it fully heal. I imagine if I did 6-7 ties on myself in the space of a couple months, I would be feeling sore too. And that's not counting lube-free sex!

It can vary from person to person in how fast we repair but I would let yourself heal and give it enough time to recover from the tying sessions. Go easy on it for a few weeks :)

Unless you have a gigantic frenulum I'm guessing you have been doing very shallow and gradual ties? It might be that one final deep one would be better and then let the whole thing heal for a good time, but that is entirely up to you I don't know how much you want to do. I'm just thinking out loud :)

Let us know how it goes!

Hi Phallus,
Agreed, definitely a case of too little lube.
I cant see any scar tissue there, so I think that skin is just less stretchable, and was protected by the frenulum. I've never heard circumcised guys complain about this though.

Hi MrPennState,
I agree with Phallus, took at least 2 months for things to heal up properly. I could masturbate during this time, but sex was a little more tricky due to the lack of direct feedback when things hurt.
Keep us posted !

I popped mine, I had a plastic ear stretching kit, had small gauge, and just upped the size until it got so thin it eventually popped, gain free.

Perhaps your girl is just not wet enough?

I want to give an update on myself. I did 2 ties and have freed up my frenulum a lot, since it was really meaty. I like this procedure because you can do it gradually little by little until you are satisfied with the amount of freedom you get. you also have a degree of control, and sometimes its better to move the new knot a bit down in the direction of your pubic area rather than in the direction of the shaft. This way I can leave some in there, allowing me the freedom I need while also giving me a chance to pull it down and make the head position in a way that gives a lot of friction. There are couple things I noticed though:

1.A regular double knot seams to work better since you can tie it tighter and tighter, constantly having restriction going. With a regular knot it took me 5 days, but with a surgeons knot a week into it It still hadn't come off. Maybe there is an even better constricting knot.

2. I tried with mono-filament string and also fishing line of different sizes. I found that the ultra thin sewing mono and the thick 17lb test fishing line to not work that well. The 12lb test worked really good. It has a diameter of .013''

Could someone add me to the Flickr group? I'd like to see people's results or progress before doing this myself when I get a chance in the near future. User is RMF551

Hi Wang Chung,

Thanks for the feedback !
I did some reading on knots beforehand, and ended up using a double surgeons knot, but had to replace the tie half way through, so I think you have a point, just as long as the knot doesn't become looser.
I have tried cotton string, elastic sewing yarn and dental floss - the cotton seemed to work best, but difficult to say as each tie seemed quite different. I will try your fishing string on the next tie - I was just always worried that the knot would release slowly.

It didn't seem to slip. What I should also mention is that I would tighten it every day, and thats how the constricting action of the knot worked. There would be more space a it cut through the skin and I just tightened it back up. I did this with my fingers when the string was long enough, but when I trimmed the string two sets of pliers worked fine as well.

Wow,
That's pretty thick, probably a bit thicker than mine was.
I put my first tie in quite deep, and at the point where the glans and shaft meet. This left me with a slight bump of leftover frenulum skin on the glans.
If I had to do it again, I would probably start about halfway between this and there the frenulum disappears into the glans.

Anyone else have a better suggestion ?

Very thick indeed. This seems like it may be a pretty big process.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the advice.
It costs £345.00 for Frenuplasty surgery, but at least it would all be done in one session.
Plus I can let the urologist worry about the veins!!!

I will post on here how it goe, if I do the surgery.

I was going to suggest surgery as an option as it is very routine and simple. At about $600 USD not bad! My question would be is the surgery done in one session?
