I use the regular BIB hanger. The BIB Starter is probably better suited for most guys than the BIB Regular though. The BIB Regular is longer so it requires a longer stretched flaccid length (size recommendations are available at bibhanger.com) but it does distribute the clamping force over a longer length of shaft, and decrease the pressure applied to any one point. This could be a factor if you get up to relatively heavy weight levels (above 20 lbs say). It also accommodates a larger flaccid girth. This could be an issue if you use a relatively thick wrap. I have a pretty thick flaccid girth, probably around 5.5" after I warm up. If I wrap with one layer of soft material and one layer of Theraband, I have to open the BIB regular pretty much all the way to get it on if the lower gap is correctly set for the thickness of the wrap. I'm not sure if the BIB Starter would open wide enough or not.
BIB hangers have a significant learning curve. They are well-made and most guys who have purchased them speak highly of them. But other guys have never been able to get them to work without causing pain or discoloration. I suspect the same could be said of any hanging device, however. The whole issue of wrapping takes some guys months to figure out and dial in. BIB has a forum and he answers questions quite patiently and promptly and will help you with wrapping suggestions and hanger adjustment. In fact, he will help you regardless of whether or not you purchased anything from him.
I have never used the
LengthMaster or even seen one outside of pictures and videos. It appears to be primarily a stretching device but I guess some guys hang with it. Judging from its appearance I would say it is poorly suited as a hanger since it looks like it would concentrate clamping force right behind the glans, like the old "noose hangers" that a lot of guys seriously hurt themselves with years ago.
Are you interested in hanging or stretching or both? If you are interested in the
LengthMaster, there are a lot of threads over at the
MOS forum regarding it, but be aware that site pushes a lot of products that they "partner" with. In other words, the owner of the site financially profits from sales of all the various devices that seem to get glowing reviews, so take any claims with at least a grain of salt.
