im starting a progress diary once i get mine, updated daily :) im about 6 BP right now goal is 7.5 BP in 6 months.

I have a few questions before committing to a purchase.

1) I always like to wait for things to be as optimized and upgraded as possible before buying, and I am wondering if in new runs you might come up with some tweaks that might improve the device, which makes me wonder if it would be better to wait, because I wouldn't want to pay full price again to have it with new tweaks... but I don't even know if tweaks will be made, or how long it would take for them to be made.

2) I already asked before if all leather materials could be switched to a non-leather alternative and you said yes, but can that be done for this initial run? What kind of material do you think could be used to replace it and have similar effects (e.g. good grip and soft)?

This is a specialty project and the 10 that are being sold are going to reply on user feedback for changes, improvements, exercises and most of all a production model. If these 10 do well I will go into full production but I have never done this before getting user feedback. If this goes into full production the model will need to be at least $25 less expensive to produce so I can get a better price for the masses. If this goes into a full scale production I would like the price point to be around 140.

I could replace the leather with vinyl or rubber, let me know what you would like and I will have it modified before I ship. Leather was the most comfortable and best grip I could find.

Okay, so it sounds like tweaks will be made, and improvements are always a good thing, though that kind of makes me want to wait to get the best product possible. However, it may be a while until it goes into production so I might not wait.

What kind of leather is used, so I can get a better idea of what to replace it with? There are tons of kinds of leather worked tons of different ways.

I think you mentioned suede earlier, so maybe ULTRASUEDE might be a good replacement. Found it on wikipedia: "Ultrasuede feels like natural suede, but it is resistant to stains and discolouration".
