There was no black bezel around the LED on mine. It's exposed metal, with a couple rust spots on it. Lovely. It doesn't look good, but doesn't change how the pump works.
Setup on your PC is easy and straightforward. Nothing to complain about there.
Making a pumping program is super easy. It starts and loops through the pumping program as soon as you press the button.
The cylinders are great for the price. I'm used to polycarbonate so the plastic feels cheap in comparison (no shit right?) but the cushions are super comfortable. I have it on right now, 24 minutes and counting, with zero discomfort.
There are some things not working out exactly like I hoped, but it might be easy to fix with a few adjustments. I don't always get the pressure I put in the program and don't know why. I ran the default program, going between 2 and 3 inHg, but it stayed at 2 or 2.5 when it should be 3. I'm running it at 5 and 6 not and it is staying at 5 or 5.5 when it should be 6. No idea what is going on with that.
This feels like a pump and not a blowjob, but I am leaving it on the default setting of 5 seconds for each level of pressure. Do I need to drop that down to 1 and have a bigger variance in the pressure for the blowjob effect?
I used it for 15 minutes last night and had a bit of a donut at the end. Do I need a different program to stop that from happening?
Overall it seems like a great purchase that just needs some fine tuning to get the most out of it.

It would take an hour to go through all the ways it's better than a Bathmate, unless you're only going to use it in the shower with the shower strap. That is the only thing you can do with a Bathmate you can't do with any other pumping setup.

Having had both this and the Bathmate there is no comparison. Unlike the Bathmate this one actually stays on your dick and doesn't constantly lose pressure. I had a ton of problems with mine and got zero support from them. I have several threads bitching about it, but in all fairness most people have better luck with it than I did. With the DP-4000 you should never pump with water in the tube, sooner or later some of it will leak back and destroy your DP-4000. Water and electronics don't mix. The DP-4000 can apply considerably more pressure to your penis when pumping than the Bathmate, should you want to pump with higher pressure.

From my experience I have to give a huge thumbs down to CTC's cylinders. Trying to take the hose off to connect it to the second cylinder I got from CTC ripped the plastic connector right off the tube, and getting it out required 15 minutes of pulling with pliers. I will never buy a cylinder without a quick disconnect again. On the plus side that tube was comfortable while it lasted. Now the one I still have is too big until I'm already pumped up. I should have just gotten the tubes from Pumptoys in the first place, which is what I'm going to end up doing now.

I will always view pumping as a supplementary exercise to add shape and fullness, and since I use the Bathmate in my morning shower/shave it adds about two minutes extra to my day to get a 15 minute pump. Pretty much a freebie. With a wet pump (such as Bathmate) I get an expansion in 15 minutes which would take at least 45 minutes in a dry pump.
A pump like the DP-4000 works well at going extreme. Such as pumping with lube and completely filling the cylinder. Cheap thrills, but in doing that I haven't found radical permanent gains since it is mostly fluid retention.

It's expensive, yes, but convenience of putting it on and never having to mess with it while doing other things means I'm going to get a lot more time in with it than I have using my Harbor Freight pump. I don't have to worry about repumping, I don't lose pressure constantly (my main cylinder is an 8 inch sphere), it's so much more convenient. I'm happy with it.
It does take a little while for it to create a seal with it, but not as bad as a hand pump.
I've been using it at low pressure for extended periods of time. This method has been favored by guys at other PE site so I decided to try it out. The default program alternates between 2 and 3 inches of mercury every 5 seconds so that's a good low pressure setting. I'm finding I can't take as much pressure as I can with a hand pump, it gets uncomfortable after a little while if I up that to 3 and 4 while I do 5-7 otherwise with total comfort. Still getting donuts even with the constantly changing pressure. It gets pretty bad when the pressure gets above 3.
I would not recommend this pump for high pressure. It tops out at 15 inHg. If you want to get high pressure you need a different electric pump.
Still doesn't feel anything like a blow job. It feels like a pump. I'd love to know how you play around with the settings to get that.
I haven't even had it a month yet, so obviously it's way too soon to make any statements about gains. I'm pumping full package and my balls are staying larger longer than from using a normal pump. Not noticing any difference on EQ or stamina.
Plan to try it out as an all night pumping option once I get a few hundred bucks for a bigger order from Pumptoys. I'm planning on getting 3 Velseals and a LongJohnny with a silicone seal to use with this to test for all night pumping purposes.
Wow I've never considered anything even close to 15. I did 8 for a while but blistered so I backed down to doing 5-6.Moresize;517856 said:The default program alternates between 2 and 3 inches of mercury every 5 seconds so that's a good low pressure setting. I'm sure others have differing experiences, but regarding pumping and EQ it works like this for me.. right after a session EQ is great, a half-hour later not so good, and then it remains a bit on the puffy side for the next day or so. However, if I have pumped for a while and then stop for a few days it can result in rock hard EQ.houseofr00bees;518499 said:Does pumping in general give you better EQ?
