Clamping

Clamping is a penile exercise that uses a clamping device in an effort to gain girth. Clamping is an advanced exercise, and shouldn't be done unless you've been penile exercising for at least six months. Most importantly, you do not need to clamp, or use any device to make your penis bigger. Many men gain multiple inches using just using regular penile exercises.

With that said, the beauty of clamping is you can do it anywhere an erection is possible. If you are at the computer and have some privacy, you can stimulate yourself to an erection, throw on a cable clamp and use the computer.

"How does clamping work?"

Clamping restricts blood from flowing out of the penis while still allowing limited inflow. Because blood is still flowing into the penis, and none is leaving, there is an extraordinary amount of pressure built up.

The pressure built up while clamping expands penis tissues beyond its normal erection state. By expanding the penis tissues multiple times, the expansion eventually becomes permanent.

What You Need To Clamp:

A Clamp – You want a clamp that is 1) Easy to get on and off 2) Fits snuggly around the penis. The Cable Clamp ™ is both of these. The easiest place to find Cable Clamps is at your local Wal-Mart in the hardware section.

A Wrap- you can use any cloth material. Some popular wraps include a sock, Homedics magnetic wrap ™, Ace’s bandage ™, and even a strip of mouse pad. (Note: A srip of mouse pad is comfortable, can be reused, and can go in the washing machine. Additionally, the rubber side of the mouse pad prevents any slippage. To use a mouse pad, simply cut a six inch strip or more from a mouse pad. It does not have to be much wider than the clamp. When wrapping, face the cloth side towards the penis.)

A way to stimulate your penis

A timer -it is easy to become distracted. Setting a timer will stop you from exceeding your desired time limit, which helps you avoid an injury.

Clamping - Step-By-Step:

As always, warm up first.
Stimulate your penis to erection. Note: If you prefer, you can put the cable clamp on at a lower erection and then build an erection once the clamp is in place.
Wrap the base of your penis.
Place clamp over wrap and tighten. The clamp should be as close to the pubic bone as possible.
Stimulate the penis to the highest erection possible. Without causing any pain or discomfort, tighten the clamp as tight as possible.
Kegel blood into the penis.
Leave clamped for desired amount of time. If you are new to clamping, leave your penis clamped for no more than five to ten minutes.

Frequently Asked Clamping Questions

1. How long should I leave the clamp on?

After you get the hang of clamping, the basic rule of thumb per clamping session is 10 minutes. Leaving the clamp on for 10 minutes is the safest way to clamp. You can always add more sets if you do not believe you are getting a maximum workout.

2. While clamping, my erection slowly subsides quite a bit, is this normal?

Yes. This is completely normal. However, your penis should still be engorged and plumped. If it consistently turns completely flaccid, try clamping down a few more notches, changing your wrap, or adding another clamp.

3. Does clamping help with length gains?

In most cases the answer is no. However, clamping has created minute length gains for some.If you are having trouble gaining length, try some advanced length exercises. If you still can't gain length, try an All Day Stretcher or hanging.

Tips while clamping:

When you first start clamping, do 1 day on and 2 days off. Over time, move up in the number of days on, if needed.
Kegel throughout the whole clamping session. This continually pushes more blood into the penis, creating greater expansion.
Wait five to ten minutes between clamping sets. This will minimize the chance of an injury occuring, and maximize gains.
While clamped, get up and move around if possible. This causes more blood to flow to the penis, creating more of an engorgement.

Other Clamping Information:

Although many people advocate clamping behind the balls, there are many delicate tissues in the testicles that could potentially be damaged by clamping this way. These tissues include nerves, arteries, the vas, and more. Damaging any of these tissues could possibly cause problems with sperm production or worse (such as ischemia of the tissues, leading to tissue death and gangrene). Your best bet is to clamp as close to the pubic bone as possible.

Desensitizing is when a man has difficulties maintaining an erection due to excessive watching. If you use as your method of stimulation, be cautious of this. If you believe you are desensitizing due to the , try another method of stimulation.

If one clamp is not enough to stop the blood outflow, then try using multiple clamps. But before you try this, make sure you are wrapping tight enough. In most cases, a tighter wrap will be enough to stop the blood outflow. You can place the second clamp at the base, or place it an inch below the glans as shown below.

Suggested Beginning Clamping Routine:

3, 10 minute clamping sessions -- totaling 30 minutes. One day on, One day off.

Dangers With Clamping:

Clamping builds up an unusual amount of pressure in the penis. Accordingly, if your penis is not conditioned for clamping, or you do not pay attention to your penis while clamping, you can easily cause an injury. The two most common injuries from clamping include overtraining and penile Mondor's disease (penis thrombosis is benign, but still takes an average of four to six weeks to clear up and can put a huge damper on your Penis Enlargement efforts).

Positive Signs:

Engorged penis
Temporary growing. It is not uncommon for your penis to experience temporary growth of ½ inch in girth during and after clamping.
Veins
Apparent growth

Negative Signs:

Pain
Numbness
Tingling
Coldness
Penis turning very dark: It is normal for the penis to darken a few shades during a clamping session. However, if it turns very dark this is extremely bad. Note: if your penis color is normally very dark, then use other signs as an indication to stop.

If you experience any of these negative signs while clamping, immediately take the clamp off and apply a warm-up to your penis.

Exercises While Clamped

You do not need to do exercises while clamped to obtain results. Regardless, some men advocate clamped exercises. I do not fully recommend doing exercises while clamped since they cause a lot of pressure build up; and this is potentially dangerous if your penis isn't conditioned. Accordingly, if you do decide to perform clamped exercise, take extra caution while doing so.

For anyone who wants to add girth to their penis, clamping is one of the more effective advance methods. Let me emphasize advance. This is not a method of penis enlargement that should be engaged in by newbies or by those who have a penis that is not accustomed to methods that enlarge, engorge, and/or expand the shaft and head of the penis. If you fall within either of these categories I would urge you not to engage in the methods described in this post.

When a person clamps, he literally forces more blood into the areas of the shaft and head above the clamp, more blood than is naturally pumped into the shaft during an erection. The end result is that the extra blood expands the penis tissue beyond its normal expanded size when one becomes naturally erect. In other words, you are making your penis larger than it was meant to be. This alone should cause you to realize how dangerous clamping can be if not performed cautiously and with constant assessment. Clamping might be compared to pumping air into a tire. If the normal tire pressure is 30 psi and you pump 60 psi into the tire, what could happen? Of course, the tire could burst. The same dangers can be found in clamping. Many of us have burst blood vessels when clamping. Some have experienced circulatory problems when they damaged the vessels that carry blood into and out of the penis. This is not a method of penis enlargement to be taken lightly. It is risky.

I’m going to lay out the basics of clamping in this post. However, I urge you to study all material related to this method of penis enlargement. The finer points of this method vary among practitioners, but most agree on the generalities. Point being that you should not be satisfied with what I will say about clamping. I am no expert, just a member who is experienced with the method.

To understand the mechanics of clamping and what takes place when a clamp is applied to the base of the penis shaft, work yourself to about a 75% erection. With your palm facing down, wrap your index and thumb around the base of your penis (forming the OK sign) and squeeze. You should see your shaft expand. If not, rotate the grip slightly and squeeze. Continue until you find that sweet spot that seems to force blood upward and cause the shaft and head to expand. The sweet spot cuts off back flow – it does not allow blood to leave the penis. It is trapped.

What you have done with your hands is what we sometimes refer to as a squeeze or a Uli. You have mimicked what takes place when clamping. By naturally becoming erect (75%) you engorged the shaft with blood. With your hand you squeezed the shaft (making it narrower in that area) and forced the blood in the area under your grip to move upward. When the blood moved up the shaft the shaft accommodated the extra blood by expanding. Of course, this is exactly what takes place as we become erect. Our flaccid penis fills with blood and begins to expand. The amount of expansion is determined by the amount of blood the body is able to pump into the shaft. When you squeezed the shaft you then forced additional blood (above normal) into the shaft making it wider than normal.

The above expansion of the shaft beyond its normal width is the idea behind clamping and squeezes. It is believed and has been proven that if one expands the penis beyond its normal width (girth) for a period of time, then the penis stretches/grows/adapts. The end result is larger chambers that fill with blood. If you have larger chambers and more blood in your penis, then you have a larger penis. And you can’t forget the head. The head of the penis is also taken beyond its normal size. Thus over time the head of your penis will expand to a larger size.

Hopefully you understand by now the dangers of clamping (often referred to as a Uli), the process, what takes place inside, and the end result. Now lets look at a general overview of expansion using a clamp.

MATERIAL LIST: Cable Clamp (red or orange). Wrist Band (sweat band). Heat.

PREPARE THE CLAMP: Most of us use cable clamps. The first thing you want to do is wrap the arms of the clamp with some type of protective material that will serve as a cushion from the edges of the clamp. I use theraband, but other materials work just as well.

WARM-UP: I use an electric heating pad to warm up the penis. Use whatever method of warmth that you are accustomed to. The point is to warm the penis for several minutes.

DRY JELQ: I have found that warm up not only includes heat, but warming the shaft for expansion. You are stretching the shaft, with less pressure, in the ways it will be stretched with clamping. I do about 25 dry jelqs at the base.

PARTIAL ERECTION: For me, about a 75-85% erection is optimum. Too much erection and you will not achieve maximum (if any) expansion. Too little erection and you get the same result. You have to experiment with how much erection you need to perform this routine. Later I will give you some signs to look for that will indicate maximum expansion.

WRIST BAND: With the partial erection I slide the wrist band over my penis down to the base. I pull my shaft through the wrist band to ensure it is as far down as possible.

INSTALL THE CLAMP: With the wrist band on the shaft, I then take the cable clamp and very loosely clamp it at the base. Do not clamp more than a couple of clicks. If clamped too tight, blood cannot be pumped into the penis. Since the cable clamp is hinged on one end, it does not make a perfect circle. Instead, it forms an oval. Such a shape produces uneven pressures on the shaft. Therefore, where you place the hinged end in relation to your shaft is something you will learn through experimentation. For me, the hinged end can be placed at two, ten, four, or eight o’clock. The point is that you have to place the clamp so that the applied pressures cut off the back flow of blood into your body. In other words, the clamp will trap the blood in the penis so that it cannot escape.

PULL OUT THE Penis EnlargementNIS: With the clamp loosely installed, I once again pull my penis out while at the same time pushing down on the clamp with the other hand. I want the clamp at the base. Hold the clamp at the base.

OBTAIN AN ERECTION: By now you have lost the 75% erection, but this is good. Too much erection is counterproductive to initiating clamping. While holding the clamp against the base, I use the other hand to stimulate the penis to an erection.

TIGHTEN THE CLAMP: As I begin to obtain an erection I am kegeling the entire time. You must kegel! This is what pumps the blood into the shaft. As the penis becomes erect, click the cable clamp tighter. This is a progressive step – one click at a time. The more erect I get, the tighter the clamp until it will close no further. When you reach this point you now have a full erection with the clamp as tight as it will go. Continue to kegel periodically while clamped.

POSITIVE SIGNS: Once you find the sweet spot on your shaft that allows you to cut off the blood flow back into the body, you will see signs of a positive workout. Of course, one of these signs is a shaft that is expanded beyond its normal size. Your penis will also look meaner – veins, ridges, chambers all well defined and prominent. The head of the penis will also swell. At maximum expansion you will notice small bumps appearing on the head of the penis. After a few minutes the bumps will disappear and the head will become shinny. After a while the shaft will darken a bit as the blood loses its oxygen. Remember to kegel throughout your clamp session in order to maintain the erection.

NEGATIVE SIGNS: Pain. Cold shaft. Busted blood vessels. Blood. Uneven expansion. Uneven expansion is usually noticed after progress is made. This problem can be addressed by not clamping at the same angle each time. Rotate the clamp around. Put the hinged end at different places. Remember: The clamp is oval, not round. Thus uneven pressures are applied. Even out the growth by rotating the position of the clamp periodically and spreading the pressures.

HOW LONG: I remain clamped for no more than 10 – 12 minutes. On average I will do three 10 – 12 minutes sessions. Now this is for a well-seasoned penis. In the beginning I would do a lot less until your penis becomes accustomed to the routine. I have also found that rest days are important with girth work. Ideally I would do two days on, one day off.

WARM DOWN: After the time is up, remove the clamp and massage the penis. Specifically massage in the area where the clamp was attached. After a short massage I like to obtain a partial erection and then perform some dry or wet jelqs in order to fill the penis with fresh blood. Next I apply heat.

By no means is this meant to be an all inclusive post discussing clamping. It’s more of an introduction. Clamping is not easy. It requires patience and note taking. The patience is required in finding the sweet spot on your shaft that can be (and must be) clamped in order to stop blood from leaving the penis. You must trap the blood in the penis and then force it forward with the squeezing of the shaft using the clamp.

Let me emphasize again that this is not an exercise or method of penis enlargement that should be attempted by just anyone. It is dangerous, but also safe when performed by the informed and cautious man.

Much more detailed information is scattered throughout Betterman dealing with clamping and even more extreme methods of clamping using two clamps. Use the search button and get more informed about this productive method of expanding penis girth.

Clamping is an advanced penis enlargement method in which a clamping device is used to obtain girth.

Before you start clamping, keep in mind it contains a significant risk - more so than any other type of penile exercise. Penis EnlargementGym and its authors are not liable for any dangers you undertake while exercising the penis. Clamping is generally safe when caution, awareness, and good judgment are used. You should not try clamping until you have been exercising your penis for at least 6 months.

The easiest place to find Cable Clamps is at your local Wal-Mart in the hardware section. If you do not have a Wal-Mart ™ near you, find out where you can get cable clamps by clicking here. Or Order them online here. You can also order Cable Clamps from www.peweights.com. Penis Enlargement Weights also sells an Air Clamp, which many men find comfortable, effective, and easy to use.

A Wrap- you can use any cloth material. Some popular wraps include a sock, Homedics magnetic wrap ™, Ace’s bandage ™, and even a strip of mouse pad. A way to stimulate your penis - girlfriend, , your hand, or thoughts of Jessica Alba.
Lubrication - Many men find that stimulating themselves is easier when lubrication is involved. Some penis lubricants, such as Essential Vein Oil and the FastSize Training Lubricant, also have vasodilators and other ingredients that might help with penis growth.

A timer -it is easy to become distracted. Setting a timer will stop you from exceeding your desired time limit, which helps you avoid an injury.

Good article!

Other than cable clamps, what other items can you use to restrict bloodflow?

Hair ties?

Rubber bands?

Also, what do you wear a wrap on your penis for whilst clamping? IS it like a cushion?

Some alternatives outlined in this thread such as hose clamps but yes hair ties work and so do rubber bands. I started out with shoe lace. You can also use a freehand gripping at the base also known as a Uli in 'some' circles.

A cushion can be used, its your choice. I personally never use one but thats just me. I think it will help with discomfort and pain on the skin such as pinching but I get used to it.

Excellent Resources!

i always clamp at 100 % erection is that wrong?
becaus in one of the post up there it said you should only be 75% erect or its counter productive .
also they say to only clamp for 10-12 minutes but i can sometimes stay clamped for 30 minutes is that bad ?
just want to now if im alright! thanks

It all depends on what school of thought your coming from. My school of thought is that you can go for 30 minute clamp sessions but obviously your not doing it too tight that blood flow is cut off and you'll be aroused (erect) stimulating yourself and kegelling often for new blood etc. Even chucking in jelqs is great. I have seen good results doing that and often do 30 minute clamped edging sessions.

The other schools of thought are varied, the innovator of that variation would need to chime in but the 10 minute sets are more for precaution I would imagine and getting one used to the intensity. Also comfort can be an issue for some and maintaining an erection for 30-45 mins non-stop so breaking it up helps. Thing is they ALL WORK.

Regarding the 100% erection, no it aint wrong and I made most of my gains doing that but again the other school of thought is using a lower erection quality which apparently has worked well for others.

If you're not runnin 90% eq or better on anything other than an ADC im not sure what you're doing...

I think what that guy meant who wrote about 75-85% is when you initially clamp cause the penis isnt rock hard yet..then bring yourself up to 100% by kegaling. Clamping at near 100% is a little discomforting for maybe the first minute. But I enjoy the pain as long as its "good" pain.

thanks for the respon Red youve been a great help ! i also do 30 min stes and i also always get as erect as possible then push down on the clamp, kegel hard and clamp down as tight as it wil go i just cant get th expansion most say they get while slowly gettting erect and closing the clamp in increments!
one last question of mine is,
have you ever done double clamps befor , like adding a secong base clamp after the first is tightend so you get more expansion.
becaus recently ive started double base clamping andi can get a quarter inch extra expansion when doing this , the only problem is i cant stay claped long , so my question to you is - whats the best way to double clamp that alows you to stay clamped for long sets like 20-30 min?

If I clamp after my routine, do I still need to warm up before clamping?

Depend of your routine; after ADS for example, it seems important to warm up again. If you Bathmate, jelq etc you don't need...
Now, clamping is my favourite routine !! :) Thanks for this awesome thread, redzulu !!
