most aromatase inhibiters must first be metabolised by the liver before they work. That means they only work systemically, not locally. 6-oxo may be an exception to that.
as for the vin diesel look, he is not bald. He has a slightly rased hair line, and is shaved. His hair roots make his face look good. If he lost the hair roots, especially on top, he'd look a lot worse. So don't be so quick to give up the fight.
As for DHT and hair, DHT can hurt all hair on your head. Even the sides (horse shoe) gets thinner with age, but just does not go away completely at normal DHT levels.
DHT only benefits body hair and beard hair. The eyebrows are uneffected, the horseshoe is resistant, and the top, vertex, and front are very susceptible to DHT. Believe it or don't, but it is well understood scientific fact. Yes, DHT does not kill the hair directly. There are other steps along the way which I won't bother listing here. But DHT is what starts the cascade. If you castrate yourself today, you would never lose another hair. Period.
Back to the aromatase. It ups DHT two ways. By reducing estrogen levels, your body fights to restore estrogen levels by making more testosterone, since estrogen is made from testosterone. The other way it makes more DHT is testosterone in the tissues is not made into estrogen, so more can be made into DHT.
But if your penis does not have much 5-alpha reductase type II in it, it won't be able to make DHT from the testosterone. Your blood DHT levels will climb because DHT will be leaking from other tissues, but this will not get to your penis as much as you want it to. Yes, the aromatase inhibitor will help you some, but not as much as topical DHT on your penis would. And your side effects would be fantastic compared to topical DHT. I'm sure you'd go bald fast with that stuff. Estrogen helps protect your hair from DHT.
