@cyclops "I kinda see where you're coming from tbirdy"
And I kinda see where you are coming from
"Equal sucks, why would I want to be equal with ANYBODY?"
Agreed !
"...but you can't ignore the physical!"
You sure CAN! Every person who truly feels love can !
"Or emotional for that matter. You gotta have balance. "
Agreed !
" I know you're talking about if everyone was made physically perfect (equal) then we'd focus on other things"
Thats exactly what I'm talking about. I was stressin that penis size is NOT as important as you believe. Atleast alot less important than other things.
"but then what's to stop people from developing a "brain perfector" eventually?"
Absolutely nothing. When the right time comes , we WILL have a brain perfector AND I will use it. And you my friend will use it too , just to catch up with everyone else.
Don't be so naive to believe we will all end up as drones.
That would take the "FUN" out of it. The LIFE out of LIFE.
Mankind is pretty dumb , but not THAT dumb.
If at all a brain perfector comes up , it will be something that will allow you to remember things quicker, think faster, and thus be smarter. It will NOT be something that kills your personality , it will just give you better memmory make you smarter. A planet of smart warmhearted-loving people , where everyone is able to learn everything what he chooses (and the choices will be different) is PARADISE. In my book , a much better place than this ill guided , selfdestroying , hating, corrupt world we live in right now (for the most part). Don't you agree ?
"Read Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut."
I do not need to read this because I'm also against drones and a clone world - but I do know what kind of equality is good and wich is bad. Everyone should have equal rights , equal possibilitys , equal access to knowledge and NOT be discriminated for a lack of wealth , looks , dick , color....
Even if you meet the most disgusting hating , shitty attitude kind of person , you shouldn't feel hate , but pity and empathy. Imagine if this person was brought up in YOUR family, he/she sure as hell would have developed to be a different person/charakter. SO he/she can't be blamed for what or who he/she is. You do not choose your parents, and once your old enough to actually make your own decisions you're probably to poisened, to misguided , to dishearted to make a change.
The biggest challange in life IN DEED is working on yourself day and night to become the best you can be in every aspect of your life and teach that to your children (wich on second thought probably is a much bigger challange)
Nuff said , I respect your opinion though. You DO think about the world we live in and thats more than most people do.
