probably varies person to person. hernia to hernia. is the hernia thought to have possibly been caused by PE. it is possible PE could worsen it.

Is it an inguinal hernia? Could you have your extender on just on a lower tension? just to keep a bit tension while you heal from surgery?

ya its an inguinal hernia and the size genetics extender doesnt bother it. actually it helps a little because it puts pressure where the hernia pertrudes keeping it from poping out as easy

Sounds like a smart idea to wear it then...extend away (but at your own risk).

If you're having extender base problems I feel bad for you son, Ive got 99 problems the base aint one.

Anyways, you can somewhat extend the extender base out a bit: http://www.mattersofsize.com/forum/showthread.php?83740-Cementing-gains&p=591331#post591331
You can read a few posts up in the thread. It's not really relevant to this thread, but considering you've just not got a hernia, you might find use in padding near that area (which is what the thread shows).

EDIT: here is a pic in case you don't have time to dig deep into that thread: http://www.mattersofsize.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=27067&d=1365044708

A simple fix to base pain is simply wrapping the base of the SizeGenetics with soft cotton material, like a strip of t-shirt fabric. Take the strip and wrap it around the base of the extender until it cushions the stretch enough to give good comfort. This may require shorting the extender a bit but it is all relative.
