That is the beauty and the curse of the BathMate. The temporary gains are the fastest way to make permanent gains but they can really throw you for a loop seeing such huge size and realizing it is not permanent yet. What is cool though is the temporary gains, if times right, can be used in sex.

You pretty much HAVE to do them. If I wasn't used to this kind of intensity already, I couldn't imagine sitting in the bm a full 20 minutes straight. And nothing gets the blood flowing once you take it off like some good jelqing. Unfortunately I can't do SSJs because it's impossible for me to go straight back to 100% eq right after the BM, but I do good, slow jelqs to get things going.

Jelqing will be a good alternative, the idea of the jelqing or SSJ is to keep fluid retention at bay and to increase tissue expansion. You just need to figure out how long you can pump before you need to get in some jelqing. In your case it may be 10 minutes so a good BathMate routine would look something like:

10 Minutes in the BathMate
5-10 Minutes of Jelqing

10 Minutes in the BathMate
5-10 Minutes of Jelqing
 
That's how I've been doing it. Thinking of bumping it up to Monday through Friday so I get 5 on and 2 off with it in the morning, then an hour of length work at night.

I wasn't able to get the same kind of expansion in the last sessions, only got to 5.75-6, but with less or almost no fluid retention, so I guess it's good.

But in the morning I was still pumped AND to my surprise was not too fatigued to get a decent erection and do some SSJ's. Maybe it's a sign, that I got more conditioned now?
My only problem right now is the limited time I have. When I come home late at night, I have to decide, if I want to use the Bathmate or the Sizegenetics. I prefer to use the Bathmate, but I'm afraid I will not make any length gains that way. I do only manual stretching and some erect stretching during my bathroom breaks. I wear the Phallosan most of the time, but I feel it only gives me a passive stretch.
Should I focus more on length, as I'm a bit afraid of reaching my girth goal before my length goal (then it would be impossible to reach my length goal without adding some extra girth, right?)?

Don't get too wrapped up into post girth size, you want to gain a bit past normal but it will not always be the same expansion but as long as there is some you will be making gains. When you do experience fatigue do not attempt girth work, jump right into length work as this is the best time to stretch, when there is fatigue present. PE is give and take and it is important to know when to train girth and when to train length. In the end they support one another and both will bring complimentary gains to the other.
