There is going to be some soreness that will stick around for the beginning of PE, for me it took about 2 months to where I was no longer feeling base soreness. Now, you may have base or ligament soreness rather than a straight. When you feel the pain where is it exactly and is the pain more dull, achy and sore or is it sharp and shooting? If it is sharp and shooting you should wait until it is completely healed before starting again and accurately identify what caused this so it never happens again.
