Like I said before the sleeve alone gave me a perfect seal I don't have to do anything else to it. I really don't know how I can help you.

Vaseline on the seal is great and a pump sleeve is also extra comfy and helps really hold pressure. Also, watch the length of hair, anything beyond .5" seems to cause interruption, keeping a tight bush will keep a tight seal!

When you say Vaseline, does generic pet jelly also work, because that's what I used before. It is such a bitch to deal with too because it's thick and greasy. Which I guess is why it's supposed to work, but I just made such a mess with the first sleeve I didn't want to risk doing the same to the second. But yes, bush is high and tight and I'll try again for a late night bath to see if that helped things. Thanks again!

Vaseline should be of the generic brand as it is a much thicker substance with much greater "drag" in stroke which lends to much greater expansion. Brand name Vaseline is way too slippery as I would imagine pet jelly might be. I use CVS Brand or Walmart Brand, cheap and tons of drag.

With just hand soap? My experience has been greasy and sticky... Okay that doesn't make sense, but it its hard to get off.

Hand soap will cause dry, irritated and itchy skin. Best to use an oil based product, vaseline being the best IMO.

I just started washing it out with liquid dish detergent. It seems to work alright though I would like to know a better method as well.

The super-set scenario of 5 x 5 x 3 is working wonders for so many.
