Thanks for the post DLD! I've been looking for a DIY trick if the comfort strip gets worn or overstretched.

This is a very good mod indeed, simple and very effective.

Just added a piece of velcro...it was the strap to keep the cord tied up on my table saw.

To top it all off though, I just added bars for the first time in the middle of the existing ones.

Quite the mod.

New rods because of new length?

It turned out that without the slippage, it was much more secure. After a half hour or so, I could feel the tension inside me let off every 15 mins or so. I started by adding the smallest rod in between the ones I was using and then later on was able to add the longer short ones. If this keeps up, it'll be good as I don't have a lot of time with my SG for a daily routine. Once maxxed out, I made sure I had the room to dial out for more length.
In the end, the velcro mod is a true breakthrough...i'm happy about it!

Is everyone using ACE bandage as a comfort layer?

For an intense situation like the SizeGenetics a layer of a soft material below the ACE is best. You can use anything that is soft on the skin. What I do is a layer of Theraban (1 layer) followed by one to two layers of ACE bandage.

Good call. Theraband sounds like the way to go. Last time I was out looking for it, didn't have any luck. I tried J&J's rolled gauze but they would grab the skin and just lead to more slipping. I don't have as much surface area as you DLD, but I'm working with what I got, hehe.

did you mean Thera Band? what else could i use?

This is an awesome modification and for under $5 at lowes hardware I have three in the pack and only had to trim down to fit throw the openings.

I know this section seems to have a lot of stickies, but I feel like this would be an excellent candidate!

I concur! Just made my modification. I feel like it has more stability and comfort than that the comfort strip. Also, once it's on the it stays really secure

Did you superglue the loops in the top picture to get them to stick?
Going to try this setup to see if i finaly can get the extender to work,,,thanks for the great post.
