My problem is this: As much as I try to do both girth and length work, my penis just gets too sore from the combination. I don't mind getting sore, don't get me wrong, but getting more sore every day is a problem.

So, is it better to train girth one day, and length the next or instead train girth one month, and length the next? Anyone actually try either approach and see gains from it?

Would 2 months girth, followed by 2 months length be even better? Or girth + length one day, rest day the next? What's best?


FYI, I haven't entirely given up on training both, but it's been affecting my EQ. The more sore I am, the more EQ issues I have. Plus, it makes sex somewhat painful. Even worse, my penis is sensitive enough due to being sore that it's making me ejaculate sooner than normal. Or at least I think that's the problem. All of this sounds like the exact opposite effect of what Penis Enlargement is supposed to do for you.

Oh, and I'm doing DLD's newbie routine for jelqing and kegels. I'm also doing 1-second kegels with each jelq rep.

I've got my fastsize extender set to my original BPenis EnlargementL (7.25") and it makes me progressively more and more sore each day I use it. It was fine at 7", but it didn't feel like a good stretch... maybe I'm being too agressive, but it seems like my extender should be set to at least my BPenis EnlargementL. (Measuring from the top of the device to the base, not from the loops to the base)


BTW I say original BPenis EnlargementL, because on a good day now I'm at 7.5" BPenis EnlargementL, which I believe to be 50% due to my head being larger from jelqing and 50% due to manual stretching gains. I stopped doing manual stretching for two reasons. One, with the extender I can multi-task, and I'm just too busy. Two, my penis get would consistently get raw from manual stretching, and I wasn't even getting a stretching feeling at all from it most days. I tried baby powder, gauze pads, friction gloves, you name it.

Maybe I just have an oversensitive penis. ;) But I need gains! I won't give up! I'll find a way that works for me.

Any help appreciated. DLD, I'm especially curious to see if you think I have my extender set too agressively.

When you feel sore, is it in the entire penis, or mainly head?

Do you stretch with the foreskin pulled back (so you're grabbing the glans)?

I wouldn't call my dick overly sensitive, at least not to girth exercises, but I have too experienced problems with length work followed by girth work. Not so much soreness, more lack of erection quality. The way I fix this, is simply by dividing it up, so that I do stretching in the shower, and then 2-6 hours later I do girth while in bed.

Have you tried doing that?

I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but since everybody are different, a one day girth, next day length, COULD work for you, but one could easily argue against it too. Then there are those who vouch for exercising everyday, 3 day on, 1 day off, and so on.

Ironically, I've had the best length growth in the periods that I almost only did girth work. Everybody are different..
 
Try to do one day girth next day length, this will give you a chance to recover on each before training again.
 
Yeah, I'm thinking about doing alternating days, DLD. At least just to see what happens. I'm not afraid to take some time experimenting until I find something that works for me. When I first started this I felt a sense of urgency, but now I'm starting to really appreciate the whole "slow and steady wins the race" thing with Penis Enlargement. After all, you only get one penis. :)

To answer your questions, Dicomaco, my current routine is morning jelq, evening stretch, with roughly 12 hours in between. I tried doing it all at once, stretching before jelqing and vice versa, but I felt like that made it worse. That could have been due to overtraining though.

To answer your other question, I'm sore in my entire penis, not just the head. The soreness from jelqing is more like a burning sensation, and the soreness from stretching is more of a tender sensation, I think. It's hard to tell them apart. In general, it just feels... aggravated, like the nerves are overworked. And it's amazing how nerves will scream bloody murder over the slightest thing once they're aggravated... I know some people find the lightest touch painful when they're having a migraine. So, I think my body is trying to tell me something... but I'm still trying to figure out what. :)

I may try just jelqing for a week, followed by just using the extender for a week, so that I can identify exactly what is making me sore. It's possible I'm overdoing it with one and not the other. The whole first month I was jelqing, I was doing it wrong, and it didn't make me sore at all. Similarly, the first two months of Penis Enlargement, I only did manual stretches never made me sore, except around the ridge of my glans, which got very chafed. That and I pulled a ligament. ;)

I think I'm just overdoing it, maybe not even by that much. I notice a lot of people are overly easy on their unit, and I agree in theory with DLD's advice about it being fairly hard to injure your penis doing manual work. I think I may just be taking that too far. :) I have a tendency to do that. Like I said, I strained a ligament doing manual stretching, and I warm up with a hot towel for 5 minutes.

Ironically, the problem might be that I have a pretty high threshold for pain. That sounds backwards, so let me explain. Doing martial arts for many years conditioned me to ignore pain, to fight through it. (as long as it didn't feel like injurious pain) As an example, in Muay Thai we used to run wood and metal bars up and down our shins to toughen them for impact. You learn to ignore that pain or you drop out. ;)

Also, weightlifting for years has taught me the value of doing every rep with correct form and getting the most out of each rep.

So, it might be that some guys would tend to go too easy on their unit, but I think I fall into the other camp.

I'll let you all know how it turns out. I'm going to experiment for a month or so with varying my routine, varying the intensity, until I find something that works for me. :)

yea, its hard for me as well to buy the 'less is more' or 'no pain no gain' philosophy of Penis Enlargement, but evidently thats the case. going too light just doesnt feel like anything is going on down there. i try to switch it up.. some days are more 'painful' than others i guess.
 
Hey tomtucker,

If your EQ drops through the floor it means you're overtraining. It's better to undertrain at first and gradually increase the number of jelqs or intensity as you go. Your EQ is your best indicator of whether or not you're overtraining.

Personally I'm not sold on the idea of alternating girth and length routine. For me it's best to jelq after stretching to restore bloodflow. But hey it's just me. If alternating girth and length exercises works for you then yeah go for it!
 
I see nothing wrong in you alternating girth & length routines at all and you'll still see gains if you perserveire and keep dedicated to it.
Try it for a few weeks and see how it agrees with you, because for some it isnt what they like but others enjoy it allot.

I have mixed girth with length in the past and done both seperatly and now I do a mostly girth orientated routine but it also has length to it, more indirectly. I gained well of all forms and I dont think that we have a RIGHT answer here but its to find ones 'sweet' spot and than reaching the most with that, than switching things around when it gets stale for abit, than going back again.

Oh and PS, I've determined that jelqing is what is making me so sore. (Only doing jelqing right now)

Maybe 15 minutes of continuous intense jelqing is just too much for me. (for now)

I'm going to ease it back to 10 minutes and if that helps I'll add back in the stretching.

Update: It definitely helped with soreness to reduce my jelqing sessions to 10 minutes. I've added back in stretching and things are going ok... as long as I don't have sex. Anything but a quicky seems to really affect my recovery time significantly.
 
I've always read that length gains should be secured first, THEN go for girth because girth gains make length gains harder to attain.

Not true. Girth actually accentuates length as length does girth. When the penis expands it does so in all directions.

I agree with DLD. There are hangers who reported length gains only after they have included jelqing in their routine.

It is true. The penis is more like a balloon than anything. When a balloon fills it not only gets wider but it becomes longer. The same thing applies to the penis, as you get thicker the penis has little choice but to become longer.
