hehe yeah, I have heard Finnish people speaking English (Leningrad Cowboys come to mind lol).

I'm hanging on to the Finnish I've learned at home (and some at school when our country actually had tutors in one's mother tongue), but my vocabulary is severely lacking though. :/ Wish it were better, that way I could look for work over there too. =) My gf (soon to be ex? she's been ignoring me) is from Vaasa, Finland, and her native tongue is Swedish.

Yeah, it looks like we managed to mangle this thread up rather nicely. And I wouldn't know about Vaasa, since my Swedish sucks :D (ashamed to admit that I've never really had the motivation to study it as much as I should, mainly since I get along with English so well)!

Hehe well, Vaasa is the place where Swedish grammar is correct. Did you know Ghost_Dogg, that "i stan" is correct, not "på stan" as we Swedes say.

And Shafty, wouldn't worry about Swedish.. I mean, not that many people in the world speak it. =)

I've been lifting about 20 minutes two times per week since March 1st. The short routine fits into my busy schedule and keeps me from getting burned out. As I look through my workout log, I clearly see strength gains, although they're really slowing down now. From looking in the mirror, I can see significant progress too. How long do you think one has to lift consistently (I had stints with lifting in high school and college, until things got busy and I got off track) to get a body that remotely resembles someting like yours? I never thought I would actually see visible results in six months or so, but how long does it often take for a person with an average build to transform into someone that clearly, by one look at their appearance, looks like someone that bodybuilds?

Well, I guess that depends on what your definition of a hot girl is. We have plenty of those cookie-cutter Hollywood-type blonde hotties, but the ethnic variation isn't as diverse (at least not where I live, even though it's a decent sized city in central Finland), so my favorite flavor isn't all that easy to find. However, if you dig those blonde nordic hotties then you're guaranteed to have a blast here!

Oh yeah, and to adress your question on how long it will take to start looking even remotely like Bigeasy: a veeeryyy loooong time (at least 3-4 years IF you do things the right way from the get-go), unless you happen to be blessed with superior genetics or if you do gear the enitire time. However, the change you start to notice immediately in your body composition is quite dramatic if you haven't lifted steadily before. You will look like an athletic person soon enough, but to look muscular it will take far longer.

Oh HELL YEAH I like those nordic blonde hotties, but they just don't like me.

I mean, my preference in a woman is blonde, but I put much more value on personality and values. Once again, your sister is very pretty and she does not fit the ideal model of I have in my mind. There is no real make or break characteristic in my mind, except I won't have anything to do with a redhead. This is because being a redhead myself I resent the fact that women are turned off by redheads, but men love them. Plus, I would not ever want to take a chance of passing on those dreaded genes, to a greater extent, so I don't ever consider giving them a look.

I GUARANTEE you would get plenty of action just for being from another country, and more so being from America. Finnish girls LOVE outgoing and talkative American dudes, as opposed to the more quiet, reserved Finnish guys (I'm not that way thankfully!).
I agree with you also on that personality and values are much more important in the long run. Whether or not you'll even wanna bother to get better aquainted with a girl is determined by looks however, at least to some degree. I also agree that I would NEVER want a pale blonde or redhead woman to pass on my genes. I have some swarthy traits (dark brown eyes and medium brown hair, plus I tan pretty well), and I want a woman that is at least my level of 'swarthiness', or preferably even more. Call me superficial if you will, but I want my kids to have good genes (not that I'll be ready to have them for at least 8-10 more years!). :D

Hey itselectric you look very similar to one of my cousins before he cut his hair. This pic is a few years old and doesn't show the resemblance as well as others would but its the only one i have right now.
