I'm not sure about the kfc thing. But stay away from McDonald's I worked there. There's a lot of greese that comes from the burgers when cooked. When I worked there the burgers where sitting in greese in trays before they make the sandwich. So try to stay away from McDonald's. I would say kfc would be better without the skin. Or taco bell but I never ate at taco bell so I don't know what the tacos consist of..

Good to know about McDonalds, I do order my burger to be made fresh and the girl accommodates me. This is a rarity now, I am sticking to much healthier options. I love Taco Bell and maybe I will allow myself one day a week for lunch. KFC is just so fucking good it is hard for me to resist, but I will do my best.

Don't feel embarrassed DLD. You are our teacher and mentor on PE. It would be great to see photos of the great DLD. So are you guys advising me to add beef to my diet? It's the same thing as red meat right?

Thanks Huge! As embarrassed as I feel I am going to post them...if I am successful it will serve to inspire many others.

where do you get such knowledge from aimingfortop ???
can you advice me some books to read to gain such valuable knowledge ????
lol
Thank you for the kind words
I have done martial arts for 22 years.
Done weight lifting for 10.
Done bodybuilding for half a year (my current occupation)
Done climbing.
Cycling (i fucking hate that!)
Long distance Running (i fucking hate that even more!!!)
Yoga.
Crossfit.
Gymnastics (another new thing i am currently working at)
Climbing (im actually educated in both sprat and prat network here)

I read a lot of books. But what you hear coming out from me is stuff i have tested.
If it works for me i test it on people around me to aee if the results may vary.

I believe in what is working much more than what science says is working.

And when i became an entrepeneur i gained like 50 pounds of excessive weight. And had to fight that off later on.

So my knowledge isn't book knowledge. It is what i have taught myself through years of experience.

And i don't see my self as an expert yet. However my knowledge is better than 99% of the coaches people find (sadly)

My best advise if you want to learn stuff. Is to talk with the oldest guy.

Show respect!
Read up on stuff and get a basic understanding
And talk to them politely.

Always respect the people who have taught you. Always!

This builds a platform of you getting in contact with the best available in their fields. Which results in the best coaching.

Everyone wanna talk about their passion. So go and talk with them! Thats really it.

Well dld... That is one hell of a situation your in.

Personally i see junk food as something only to take when your at your goal (gain 2 pounds and loose 2 pounds. Its all good)

But in your case i will make an exception.

But i will advise you to change this as soon as possible.

If i should pick a fast food place. Pick taco bell.

Im sorry but what you get from mcd or kfc is just not food.

Taco bell.. Could be worse.

Go for small portions. Without extra stuff. (Just a burrito or something like that) and dont add any sodas.

And make sure it is clean stuff in it (nothing battered in dough etc.)

The biggest problem with this stuff is that they have removed all nutrition and flavors from it and then added it artificially. Later on. Which results in way too much salt and other chemicals
If you are brave see the documentary: "food inc"
At your own risk :)

But when it has to be done. Remember these queues:
Eat as clean as possible
Less is more
No extras.

Ohh and dont worry about dressing (in normal sizes) that is in so small quantities that it is energy wasted to avoid that

Well this is good news because I do love Taco Bell and I go for their burrito when I go there. Lots of beans and beef, not too many carbs either. To give you a description of my diet for yesterday, I messed up my breakfast by eating a sausage, egg and cheese on a whole wheat english muffin, I felt so guilty but it tasted so good and in a weird way my body seemed like it needed it. Lunch was a vegetable cold pressed drink and a protein bar. Dinner was tuna fish and a apple. Midnight snack was another protein bar and orange juice. The biggest thing I am struggling with is the sugar and the carbs, I never knew how much I loved these things until I gave them up. I already know I have lost weight because of the pictures I have been taking so I am very encouraged with that. Tonight I will go shopping and stock my mini-fridge with vegetables and fruit. I am also going to add hardboiled eggs (I hope that is OK). So maybe once a week I will hit Taco Bell:) and the rest of the week stick to the strict diet I have created. I am really good with eating the same things over and over, so I am not frightened by this diet, I just need to leave room to cheat once in a while:)

The HIIT program is going great. what is strange is I am already seeing the muscle come back in my chest and shoulders. My stomach, although still big, is smaller. I can't believe these effects are coming from this simple exercise routine!

told you it kicks ass :)

and yes eggs are fine. i love eggs!

ohh a side note i might have forgotten.

your body is addicted to starchy carbs. sugar etc.
so the first 3 weeks you should try and avoid them completely to get out of the addiction.

the typically abstinenses are things like:
sweating.
chronic hunger (i have felt hungry after i ate a 750g steak just to put it in perspective)
low energy
sleepiness.

now most of this can be helped off by eating many small meals of the good stuff a day. and some coffee to keep you up.

but seriously i started to have almost sex fantasies about carbs. even stuff i normally don't really like.

pasta. waffles. etc. it was fucking weird.

so ye

i can inform you that i am cutting aswell atm. however this is controlled cutting. i should drop 2-4 pounds a week. nothing more and nothing less.

if i drop more than that. too much muscle disapears. if i drop less than that. it is just my patience that is being tested.

my point is. there is always stuff to learn :)

my meal of the night: frozen veggies in a wok with my favorit spice mix (ginger chili garlic and oil) and some of the barb chicken will be cut in slices and reheated fast aswell.

great and easy meal. full of the good carbs fibers. and protein.

:) life is good :)

footnote (did you know frozen veggies are actually healthier than fresh ones? fresh ones lose their nutritional values fast in un frozen condition)

ohh and one more thing.

right after high intensity training (like the tabata) there is a window of you not being able to store any food as everything is pumping on max and will be used as fuel straight away. so the muffin prob wasnt a problem.

but don't make it a habbit. we want to empty the system of those sources of energy for some time. :)

my newest experiment. isn't anything radical and off the charge revolutionizing.

but it is an interesting concept. i have done it for 1 week with good results. so now im sharing it with you guys (yep this is my normal protocal)

every morning. wake up. take a piss. and stand on your bathweight.

write the number down on a schedule.

try and lose just a tiny bit every day.

why should this work?

the theory is that because you know that your standing on the weight everyday. your subconscious mind is working around it.

there seem to be a regular archivement in sight and you can program yourself.

now just for the experts who will claim 1 days of weightloss can't be measured due to variabels like food intake. amount of fluid etc in your body. just remember this! we are looking at a weekly/monthly curve. basicly it gives you a fast response to what you are doing. and it becomes easy to see yesterdays carb fest result on todays weightscale.

and it makes you eat less.

i find this to be great as i have a certain amount of weight per week to lose. i mean there has already been occations where i needed to eat more (helped a friend moving. turned out to require more calories than i expected)

but it must be daily. first thing in the morning.

and if you expect to see 1 or 2 pounds a day. this isn't for you :)

so for those interested. try it out.

You are not alone on this journey and problem. I'm fighting the same problem. Last night I went to bed by 9pm because of fear of eating. I try to eat my last food by 6pm max and then stay away from food till the following day. It's not easy but I'm trying. I intend buying some Equate Fiber Supplements to take at night before sleeping though. I will take the pills by 7pm in the evening. You can try it as well.

my best advise is to stay 100% clean in the first 3 weeks. and make sure to eat lots of protein and nuts. as they stabilize your blood sugar.

you see what happens is this:

you eat something with carbs (lets say pasta. or rice) now starchy carbs are really just sugar. so what happens? well your sugar levels increases.

what happens with stuff that jumps up? it goes down? which mean that you are crashing now your body felt good before due to the sugar. and now it crashes so it wants more sugar! and you have the cravings!

by eating a diet consistent of meat. nuts. veggies. and water. (not even fruit as it is also gonna spike the sugar levels) for the first 3 weeks.

you will be feeling a little more tired than usual. but the energy levels are stabile. after 3 weeks. you will find yourself in need of eating a lot less food for more energy. and the cravings for carbs have disapeared.

now is anything gonna happen if you eat it occationally again? maybe. check it out (i advise everyone to check out their bodys weakness. some people don't have problems with carbs afterwards. some people do.

for me personally:

eating carbs i get low vibration head. hard time concentrating just wanna watxh cartoons. and im feeling irritated.

me eating non starchy carbs. excess energy. good mood. great concentration. wanna do stuff. wanna create climb. and have fun.

so which one should i be eating?

i have seen first hand people who ate a starchy carb rich diet who was able to maintain a high level of hard training and a 6 pack. so don't believe that this is the solution for everyone.

what i want you to do. is to clean up your diet. and start from the "right side" by getting in shape by following this protocol. you can then later add stuff and see what is gonna ass fuck you and what you can eat without a problem

trial and error my friends

Dld if I were you I'd stay away from pork(sauage, winners, bolona, pork chops etc.) I have stopped recently and I'm starting to feel better and more healthy as well. A Muslim told me pork damages the brain. Muslims and Jews don't eat pork.In the Bible it says "and the pig, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you." Leviticus 11:7-8 Here's what really stopped me from eating pork. "The pork species, known as Taenia Solium, can infect humans in two forms. Thefirstisby eating undercooked pork from infected pigs, resulting in taeniasis -- an adult worm residing in the intestine. The second, in the larval form, through contact with the feces of an infected pig or human, which can go on to infect many tissues. If the larval worm enters the nervous system, including the brain, it can result in a condition known as neurocysticercosis. Infection of this kind can often causeepilepsy once inside the brain. Almost a third of epilepsy cases in countries where the disease is native are people who have previously had neurocysticercosis, according to the World Health Organization." http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/20/health/tapeworms-invade-brain/
here's another story about a woman who had to get a 6 hour brain operation to get the pork tapewarm out of her head. http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=93570

First let me say I hate pork, the only thing I can stomach is ham and bacon. Next, the rules of the Old Testament were changed with the coming of Christ. When asked about these changes Jesus said "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.…Mathew 5:17 I am so happy this happened or I would not be able to eat Shrimp and Scallops...My favorite seafood:) I appreciate a man, like yourself, that knows his Bible, thank you GirthGains!

the don't eat pork eat pork. has been going on for some time, the same with the eat beef don't eat beef.

my opinion: the more natural the meat. the better!

let me explain.

look at a fucking cow! how the fuck should that animal survive in the wild? it has been breed to give food and milk.
now look at a bison! how is that going to survive? easy. it just fucking does whatever it feels like. its a bison. its 3000 pounds of muscles with 6 inch thick skull to bash in shit.

now thats an animal you should eat!

i believe that you are what you eat. i would always prefer shit that could put up a fight for me to eat.

now. as this meat is either extremely expensive. or impossible to get.

we should take the second best thing. but ye. instead of chicken. eat ostrich. instead of pig eat wild hog. instead of cow eat bison. instead of farm fish eat wild fish basicly anything that still looks to be a decent fucking animal. and not just something you wanna kill in pity over their existence

and just to clarify.

anyone who tries to come between me and my bacon. is gonna need gods protection to come out alive!

im danish. my beard is red. i have done martial arts most of my life. my ancestors where vikings. and im warning you! DO NOT MESS WITH MY BACON!

:) :)

You are a fountain of ideas.

thank you for the kind words. well in real life im the type of guy everybody is annoyed with. as i seem to know all the answers. in my daily life i usually just laugh at people who does things wrong because i have had so many people getting pissed at me for interfering with their training.

so its nice to have a place where people actually wanna learn new stuff.

i have always hated the people who claimed success to be easy. to "motivate" other people.

for me. it has always been like an airplane.

when you take off there is so much resistance and you feel like it is never going to work. and eventually you have passed through the clouds and it feels easier when your at the top.

and i can guarantee all of you guys out there. to be in good shape is one of the best fucking feelings in the world! your body just feels like this perfect synched machine.

but as of now. i have had a period with too much bulking (this is my last ever "fat" bulk. as it is pointless as fuck) and i need to drop. probably 6 kilos. (and after we go into the really lean cutting. which has to be done very very slowly)

and this should be done in 3 to 6 weeks.

so my progress this far: tuesday: bw 89.5 wednesday: bw: 89.2 thursday: BW 88.7
as you can see i have lost 0.8kg in 2 days. which is 2.8kg in a week. and therefore it is 0.8 kg too much.

so i need to eat more stuff!

i just finished my breakfast. which consisted of stir fried veggies and chicken.

the meal was boring and i have had way too much chicken lately. so i was doing the old "deep sad breathing" choke this shit down. face and went to war. i ended up getting allied with a tiny bit of chili mayo. the thing is. if i drink this shit like water its gonna fuck me. up. but don't be afraid of just a little bit in your daily life. it is not going to hurt unless you try to be a competitive bodybuilder!

but! as i have also been carb addict recently. and the chili mayo have plenty of all the good stuff. i can literally feel a headache. a weird pulling sensation all the way to my face and a feeling of hunger. for something sweet.

now. i can do 1 of 2 things.

eat sugar and be over with it.... that is untill i crash again. and im in the same boat once more. (rinse and repeat)

try to stabilize my sugar levels. as i just ate a big amount of protein. that aint going to help.

so what i do. (and this is something i discovered by accident i have no clue if this would work for anyone else or in a scientific study)
i simply take some stevia powder. mix it up in a glass of water. and drink it. it tastes awfull. but i have seen this stuff stabilizing my blood sugar several times. even to the point where i could ignore being hungry (not a smart thing)

so. if you need a remedy for the carb cravings. try it out

Great advice Aim. For me it has been if my body is screaming carbs or sugar I know I need to fill that need. For me it does not mean overindulgence but more a small amount to satisfy that need. Last night I really needed sugar and what I did to satisfy that is I got some peanut butter and put a couple teaspoons of instant breakfast. After a few bites I felt the need go away and I was able to forget about the sugar. Yesterday I really needed some carbs, I felt my body, again, screaming for this so to satisfy this I had two, small bean and beef burritos and the desire was filled. If I completely give up these things I am doomed to fail. For me it has been all about moderation in the sugars and carbs with a massive emphasis (meaning most of the time) I eat a protein, vegetable and fruit diet, less of the latter due to fructose. Although my body does not look good, I feel great. My energy levels are good and I am pretty much satisfied with my diet, especially now that I allow myself to cheat once or twice a week. And even my cheating is moderate. I can't wait to get on the scale and see where I am (this is when I will post all the pictures and start my progress thread) I want to have something exciting to show for all the work I am doing, this will help me lessen my insecurities about the way I look and how my Brothers here will see me.

And getting back to the threads original title, coffee:), I completely changed the coffee I drink. I used to get a large iced coffee with cream and sugar and chocolate. I found that this was giving me almost all of my calories for the day! I now drink my iced coffee with no sugar and 1% milk (a very small amount). So I eliminated a lot of my calories just in this.
