It's fairly unscientific, which I know you're going to say is the root of the issue.

For the first month I Bathmated on weekdays. I experimented with the number of sets but it was always at least 3. I found 3x10 always led to fluid expansion but 4x6 sometimes didn't... tried everything from 2x12 to 6x6 as that one guy had, etc. What I found was that jelquing in between seemed almost like I was just taking the fluid buildup from in my turkey neck area to the rest of the penis. Basically, I'd get fluid retention after about 20 minutes, regardless of how I divided it up.

I always get great expansion beforehand, though. From 5 1/4 at the scar to as much as 6". I'd hold 5.75 for as much as 24 hours.

What I found, though was some serious fatigue and lowered EQ, even though I was doing a lot of kegeling. I experimented with some clamping too, either on weekends or as a 2-a-day. Some days I'd just not have morning wood or it'd be really hard to get aroused. So in month 2 I backed off a bit in terms of frequency but upped the intensity. I like the idea of some rest and mental work, so I would go a bit harder with clamping/Bathmate and then take more days off. I'd do something like MWF 2 sets clamp, 3 sets Bathmate, one more of clamp... And I'd be seriously fatigued afterward. Like I know it's really expanding. And that'd carry over to the next day, to the point where it seemed like doing it again would be counterproductive. But who knows... maybe I'm still conflating muscle with penis in my head even though I know not to. Maybe I just fatigue more because I do pull on the Bathmate to do some stretches (though not nearly as many as the routine calls for - just a bunch of 20-30 sec downs and outs, after which I have to re-pump because I know a bit of suction escapes)

Anyway, any mental EQ issues I had disappeared in the 2nd month. For instance, it was getting to the point where it was a real challenge to arouse myself to go into the Bathmate... I just kind of felt like I was really forcing it. Even with cialis it was a challenge after a set or two. Now that's not the case. I am highly aroused easily through an entire session.

That said, any time I have taken a day off, for two months now, I'm right back down to 5.25" scar girth. After feeling how thick it gets when expanded this is always a bit discouraging.

I always do the ball massage before and after. I do kegels all the time throughout the day and have greatly improved my sex life from those. On days off I jelq, though not at massive 3-500 rep volume... just like 1-200 in the shower.

This week was 2 months. The results? I measured 7.25 BPenis EnlargementL yesterday, albeit it at a lower exit point than where I used to be (when I was always 6.75". Sex is greatly improved. But my balls don't hang any lower, often still get sucked to the edge of the Bathmate where it's painful, I have more turkey neck, I still haven't gotten rid of a few ingrowns I've had for 2 months (the Bathmate always irritates them), and girth is the same... yet I do nothing for length and am longer.

I'm not at the super discouraged point or anything. And I know not to expect miracles in a month. It's just weird.
 
Hey guys, I'm new here, I just got my Bathmate today, I used it for a long session, got huge inside the Bathmate! But as soon as I took it off, the temporary gains only lasted a minute or two.. Then it went back to it's normal size.. How do you guys make it last hours? Jesus
 
juud, it takes time, not just time in the Bathmate per day but months to build it up. Be consistent and the longer you have been doing pe the better the results.
The more work and time you put into it the more you get out of it.
 
Thats it! It takes time for permanence but there are incredible benefits to the temporary gains! It really is the best of both worlds!
 
This is an old thread I know but it fits my questions perfectly. I've been using the BM 5-6 days a week for about 2 months and the pump never lasts more than a few minutes. I was wondering at what point (3 months, 6 months?) should I expect temporary gains to start sticking around using the DLD newbie routine (warm up, manual stretching, 5x5x3 jelq and BM then warm down)? I know that there are times I have to get harder to jelq or get into the BM and I get carried away masturbating for a couple minutes in between sets, I think this bad habit might be hurting my workout potential.
 
Masturbation after the workouts will totally deflate your shit. I focus real hard to not even let pre-cum release (it always does, but getting better at retaining it).

I was under the impression edging was good after a workout, just avoid ejaculation. I will try holding off, see if it hangs around a little longer.
 
Edging doesn't give me such great benefit so I only do enough to keep the session going. I know its tough but don't touch yourself unless to do training, and you'll be raging at all times with increased expansion.

I use edging as a way of lasting longer before ejaculation. I also have been using it in my Priapism experiment, along with many other erect exercises and I am seeing benefits of Tunica expansion.

I think I'll keep my edging sessions separate. I usually pe at night before bed so I can edge in the morning then. What are your thoughts on the BM temporary gains? I'm not sure if it's me not pumping hard enough or if I just need to keep at it.
 
Usually have a little pump going 24/7. I use mine twice a day and it's not uncommon for the pump to start lasting all day once you have enough experience and your junk gets used to it.

If you are not seeing temp gains using your BathMate you will need to use more intensity. Are you using the 3x3x5 routine? If not this may be the issue, check out the BathMate routine in the SRT thread, a much better way to use the BathMate and make gains faster. It will also teach you a great deal about making gains permanent.
 
I've been following your newbie routine with bath mate 3x5x5. Last couple sessions I pumped as much as I could and it felt much more intense the entire time (usually it settles down after a couple minutes).

I also started using my universal pumping sleeve as I lost my comfort pad, I think that helped as well.

Edit: should I be pumping up/down in stages or just a quick up and release when done?

But how much expansion lasting how long?
Ck you don't need to alternate the vacuum just make sure you're not spending too long in it. It always works better to come out, jelq or even just edge a little, and go back in. This gives you more expansion than just spending one long set
