Since this personal reason has happened and will continue for forseeable future, I do take this personally. PLEASE UNDERSTAND - that this is not an excuse, rather its a human condition that you cannot control.
The personal reason is just that, its personal. However, when someone you love is going through a condition that you can't control - and will be with them for their entire life - it really doesn't matter who paid you money or have time to go to your website and write a web page to let people know something has happened. Simply, I chose to spend my time with my love to comfort and console her, rather than spending 5-10 minutes it would take to write a new page to save my reputation. In a frank words - you could take my reputation and shove it up your arse (not meant toward you).
Again, I will let my past reputation speak for itself. As for past few week, yes some customers were irate - and I do apology for that. And if they are unhappy, I fully understand if they do complaint to the credit card company or paypal to get a refund. Would I do the same thing you have said if I was in your shoe - no. When someone has a good reputation (excellent or fair depending on each person) and because that person does not respond for couple of weeks does not give someone to say - this guy suck, we don't have this problem at xyz site - so go there. I been in this business (and part time at that) much longer than MV site and my reputation has been solid for majority of people. The customer service you are promoting, as you said, may be fine for now, but we do live in a real world and things happen - I do hope that nothing bad ever happens to anyone (even my enemy which I don't have) as life itself is more important than any petty things we can think of.
So what is the motivation for saying something like that if someone is looking through a glass door? I don't know and I don't care - what I do care is when someone is saying something and doesn't care about human fellowship. So John was bit angry that I haven't responded - he will live and will get his money back from the credit card company, if needed. I would never fault him for that as I fully emphatize his point of view. Again, its life and we do have to live in them.
The reason I mentioned Crash was because of your earlier involvement with his business. It really had nothing to do with the business - rather insensitivity of all (and I am very sensitive right now as this is one of the 1st post of this type). In the end, Crash has cleared this misunderstanding and I do take his words at full value.
