Well, since there is no 'Supplements' forum, or anything like that, I'll just post this here. I am currently only taking this, after every workout before I go to bed. It would be great if we could get a whole list of Vitamin type supplements together.

L-Arginine, also just called Arginine, has appeared in many products of the past couple of years, gaining popularity as a nonprescription treatment for high cholesterol and as an active ingredient in sexual support products.

L-arginine is a non-essential amino acid which is abundant in protamines and histones, these are proteins associated with nucleic acids.

L-arginine is used by the immune system to help regulate the activity of the thymus gland, which is responsible for manufacturing T lymphocytes. (These are the T-cells, which assist the immune system and body defences). For this reason it may be a very useful nutrititional supplement for people suffering from AIDS and other diseases which suppress the immune system.

In the pancreas it is used to release insulin, in the pituitary gland, it is a component of human growth hormone.

It is important in liver health and assists in neutralizing ammonia in the liver, while it is also involved in the skin and connective tissue, making it important for the healing and repair of soft tissue, the formation of collagen and in the building of new bone and tendons.

It is required in muscle metabolism and helping with weight control since it facilitates the increase of muscle mass, while reducing body fat.

L-Arginine also creates nitric oxide in the human body (nitric oxide is one of the most essential substances which influence sexual function in both men and women), and helps to improve circulation. and maintains the nitrogen balance.

L-arginine is found in seminal fluid and is used in the treatment of male sexual health problems and treatments for sterility.

L-arginine and Sexuality
It is used in sexual stimulants, as people report longer and more intense orgasms when their intake of arginine is increased.

In Men, L-Arginine improves blood flow to the genital area and gives erections that are harder, bigger, last longer and can be more frequent.

In Women, causes a higher blood flow which makes the clitoral and vaginal tissues more sensitive and responsive to sexual stimulation. This way, L-Arginine increases the possibility for women to reach orgasm.

Deficiency is rare – but signs may include impaired insulin production as well as possible hair loss.

Toxicity & Symptoms of High Intake are also rare, but symptoms of massive dosages may include thickening and coarsening of the skin, muscle weakness, diarrhea, nausea, as well as increasing the activity of some viruses. For this reason people suffering from herpes should avoid high dosage. Pregnant and lactating women and people suffering from schizophrenia should also avoid high dosage. (when ingested, it is unlikely that topical use would cause health problems).

Arginine pyroglutamate, in addition to having cognitive enhancing effects, is an excellent growth hormone releaser because it is carried more efficiently across the blood- brain barrier than arginine alone. In Italy, this form of the amino acid is used to treat senility, mental retardation, and alcoholism. Arginine pyroglutamate is an arginine molecule combined with a pyroglutamate molecule. L-Arginine alone does not produce cognitive enhancing effects.

L-arginine is found in: whole-wheat, rice, nuts, seeds, corn, soy, grapes, coco, carob and some other foods. It can be purchased from pharmacies and is an active ingrediant in many sexual support products.
Currently I take 500mg of it, dunno how much daily value that is. I'm not sure if uppping the dosage would make that much difference or not, though.

It seems that people who notice differences are taking larger amounts, like 3 grams per day. Claims range from harder erections, to huge increases in semen volume.

It sounds crazy, but in Canada, L-arginine is illegal!
I have been taking Arginine for about 3 years and love it. I take about 5 - 8 grams a day in a liquid form. It helps with blood flow to the sexual organs, but most of all, increases the intensity of my climaxes not only in feeling, but in the amount of ejaculate.

My wife swears by the stuff as she says her orgasms are so strong when she is taking it.

I also use if for muscle recovery after a workout.

All The Best,
Pills are good as a supplement, helping with circulation and recovery.

Pills alone are not a magic bullet for Penis Enlargement. Working out is the key.

Always read the warning labels before using any herbal product. If you have medical conditions, there are herbal products that should be avoided.

Even then, research on the net. Not every seller of herbal products will post proper warnings labels.

I've used testosterone cream in the past, for about a month. Given medical risks, I'd not recommend it for everyone.

At this time, I'm not using it. It was very addictive. There was a difference in the feel and appearance of my penis. I have strong urges to use it again.

GNC sells a wonderful Arginine Product called ArginMax. There's a variation for both men and women. Price range is around $15-$30 a bottle depending on what size bottle. Contains 3 grams of Arginine per dose. As well as all this other good stuff: Ingredients: L-Arginine 3000 mg, American Ginseng 100 mg, ;Korean Ginseng 100 mg, Ginkgo Biloba standardized 50 mg, Vitamin A 5000 IU, Vitamin C 60 mg, Vitamin E 30 IU, Thiamin 1.5 mg, Riboflavin 1.7 mg, Niacin 20 mg, Vitamin B-6 2 mg, Folate 400 mcg, Vitamin B-12 6 mcg, Biotin 300 mcg, Pantothenic acid 10 mg, Zinc 15 mg, Selenium 70 mcg..
If you have a GNC discount card, you can get an even better price. I love the stuff and, it's affordable.
Will L-Arginine itself do the trick for volume? I've done some reading up, and it's the main ingredient in Volume Pills, but I was wondering if we could get some more personal experience rather than 'research' by people trying to sell it to me.
Yes, at least from my personal experience. After a couple weeks on Arginine I saw an increase in load size.
sorry for reviving old threads but this really tickled my interest.
i'd love intenser orgasms and increase my ejaculate. the proteine powder i consume after my workout in the gym contains 1,3gr of L-arginine in 50gr of the powder. i want more ofcourse but not in protein form ;)
i was wondering if anyone ever conducted research on this. i was wondering about the best product to look for and what would be the right dosage for that product.

tribulus should also increase your ejaculate. it stimulates certain growth hormones and others. it might be good for Penis Enlargement, who knows?
i can get it at my shop. the highest amount is 48% in pill form. i'll buy some and test it next year.

or has anyone here tested this before ;)

I take about 8g a day in the form of NO2. It seems to work, but it is expensive. I have only used about 20 days, I am giving it 3 months before I make any judgements(It does work as far as erection and loads, I mean I'm not sure if it helps muscle size). I am going to add Cell Tech and NitroTech soon.
No doubt L-Arginine increases volume! I take 2 pills in the mourning, and 2 in the evening! I ran out once, about 2 months ago for a period of 10 days, boy my volume sure did drop!!I want let my supply run out again!!

look into arginine...cause the body converts arginine into this article...

Dang, it's good for so many things. Here in Holland I can get a bottle of 50 capsules for 18 euros. It contains both L-Arginine and L-Ornithine. 250 caps cost me 80 euros :p

I need more money :p
I too have taken L-Arginine. However, before I ordered I read that it should be taken in combination with L-Ornithine. Apparently the L-Ornithine activates the L-Arginine? Not too sure what the relationship is there other than the article I read was pretty emphatic about it. When I did a search on vitamin shop ( there it was, the two in combination (Hydromaxmm, maybe there is something to this article). They sell a 300 capsule bottle of 2000mg ea. for 33.57. The recommended dose is two in between meals. A while after I had ordered, I discovered that GNC also sells the capsules with the same combination of ingredients. Their recommended dosage however is 4 capsules. The size of theirs I believe is 2200 mgs. The ratio in vitaminshoppe product is 1250/750.

I did experience all of the effects. harder erections, way more volume although never had a problem there to begin with, and whiter semen. In addition to this, motility and quality are also supposed to dramatically improve. Without a microscope I guess you just have to take that one for granted unless you feel like trucking a dose of the little fellas into your favorite hospital lab. When I order again, I will go the 4 capsule per dose routine regardless of where I get it. At the time I took it the first go around, I was not seriously Penis Enlargementing. It would be great just to see the difference now.

In summary though, yeah the stuff works.

if i remember correctly the L-Orthinine decreases the chance of skin irritation when using L-Arginine. For the rest L-Orthinine activates growthhormones just like L-Arginine, but experiments show that it also aids in fat loss and the decreasion of fat absorption.
you should get both in a cap just in case.

bah, your dealer sells even higher quantities for less then compared with mine. i pay 81,15 euros for a 250 cap bottle containing both Arginine (500mg) and Ornithine (250mg).
More detail here.
Beware, it's written in Dutch.

* Diabetics and borderline diabetics should use growth hormone releasers with care. L-arginine and L-ornithine might improve or worsen a diabetic condition.

* Persons who have not completed their bone growth (children and teenagers) and pregnant or lactating women should not use GH releasers except under a physician’s supervision.

* L-arginine and L-ornithine sometimes reactivate latent herpes virus infections. Therefore, persons who have had ocular or brain herpes should not use them.

* Those with certain psychoses may experience worsened symptoms if they take L-arginine or L-ornithine supplements.

* Always take antioxidants with arginine.

* Higher amounts can be taken if recommended by a knowledgeable healthcare provider.

I know i'll be playing safe then ;)
Maybe good for the "children and teenagers" here to know. i'm very sure this forum has some :p
L-Arginine can be found in the following things:
Cheese, Meat, Birds, Eggs, Fish and Shellfish, Nuts, Chocolat, Pees, Garlic and Ginseng.
