So, I've been doing jelqing for the past 1.5 months. At first, I was afraid of injuring myself, so, I heeded the advice of numerous PE websites and did jelqs at lower erection levels (15-30%) every 2 days or so. This went on for about a month and I was pretty dissatisfied with my progress as I had seen no length/girth gains at all and i had noticeable loss of erection quality.

Frustrated with it, I varied it a little and started jelqing at erection levels of >70%. This worked for me cuz I felt better after each session and my penis started to feel bigger as well. Within 10-15 days, I noticed my penis is wider and I need a bigger "ok grip" to grab it properly (I hadn't kept exact measurements).

but, so far, my length hasn't increased at all (6.1" bone pressed, 5.5" non bone). I looked it up a bit on the forums, the standard suggestion was to stretch which I've tried before with no results at all but loss of EQ for a couple of days (i was afraid i lost my girth gains, then I completely stopped pe for a 2 days and the girth came back). Also flaccid jelqing completely failed me before.

Is it normal to see girth gains first with jelqing? what are the experiences of other members here who have went through this before? personally i'm not dissatisfied with my girth (about 5" i'd estimate), but i'd really like some length gains too.

Welcome in mos pelikan!!!first of all dont be afraid to injuring yourself.actually you need to push yourself to see some gains.its not impossible to get injured but it is really really hard with your hands.do your jelq erect 80%+.yeah with jelqing you will feel your penis much healthies and harder.also jelqing is mostly a girth excersice.thats why you didnt notice any lenght gains.You need to do a 10-15 minutes streching before your jelq session,you will not lose your girth gains with strech.actually i have notice since i start doind a lot of streches before my girth routine i have much better results on girth because you expand the streched penis.for more information read the SRT topic and follow the newbie routine.thats an awesome routine to start your pe journey and gain some good gains.

thanks, interesting topic. I read it a couple of times. I can't really afford any PE equipment right now as they are too expensive for me but, two things i've noticed i was doing wrong are:

1. when stretching and jelqing, i've been kegeling too (more of an unconscious response and i seem to have strong PC muscles). I will try to do reverse kegels when doing the stretch and jelqs. (just discovered how to do a reverse kegel now!)

2. wearing underwear. Although I wear loose ones, going without one might help.

Jelqing is a good exercise but you have to stretch if you want length gains. And don't be afraid to pull it hard; you need intensity to grow.

I meant like what does your workout include ... Like 30 minutes of jelqing or 600 reps or something like that. What specifically?

Indeed! Intensity is the key to gaining. This does not mean to go full out right away but a steady progression to full intensity. And if full intensity is not enough grab a LengthMaster and double that intensity!
 
Thanks everyone. Just wanted to post a little update. So, after the suggestions, I finally took the plunge by dedicating towards the stretching routine together with jelqs. I discovered that the reason why stretching didn't go well for me initially is because I was doing it flaccid. After I started doing stretches in a semi-erect, it doesn't fee uncomfortable at all and I don't find that it reduces my girth anymore. I also try to do reverse-kegels during stretching.

Another variation I did with my routine is I did my best to make sure my dick doesn't turtle/shrink after PE sessions so it gets a chance to heal properly (from the SRT theory topic). I wish I could afford extenders right now, but for now I'm making do with manually jerking my dick a little every half an hour till sleep to make sure it gets a chance to heal in an expanded state

The good news is that I seemed to have gained some length since I've started this routine without any girth loss (less than a week). Initially, the best I could get was 6.1 bp. My today's measurement was 6.4 :) . Not sure if the gains are temporary, but at least it's probably an indication i'm going the right way.

For now its 20-30 minutes of jelqing at higher erection levels, followed by stretching for 5 mins in up and outwards direction (downwards feels too intense for me).

true that! I'm trying to gradually increase the intensity. Initially, 10 seconds felt like too much, now I seem to be comfortable with 20!

That is exactly how it should be, a steady progression to more and more intensity.

Do not look for quick gains, it doesn't end well. Jelqing is an amateur exercise. You cannot rely on jelqing alone. You have to do a solid length routine. Get yourself a length master and the mityvac pump if you are serious about making gains.
