Sorry to say no one can answer that for you.
I can't predict the future, neither do I know the specifics of your body's biochemical tendencies. I've no info on your lifestyle habits, I don't even know your age. There may be something in your nutrition or lack of sleep or 100s of other potential gaps in your body's necessities.
In my experience it has to be more than an hour before. Sometimes it seems like the body is on a 24hr delay to produce NO. But that is my body. I don't know what is common to all bodies and what can change in the individual case. After ensuring that I am supplementing what I need I am not taking the amino acids any more. But they certainly did have an effect, quite a marked one when I was taking them last year.
All you have is trial and error. Try it.
I wish you find a great solution for you as quickly as possible.
Oh a final thought for you, what is blood mostly made up of? Do not underestimate the effect of ensuring you drink loads of water. You don't want to force yourself but you also want to ensure you're loaded with it. Water. Not other fluids. The minute you dissolve anything in the water the body has to treat it before it can allow it to pass into the bloodstream, in other words the less well it serves to bolster the quantity of blood in your body.
