yea when i started PE a few years back i used to do quick contractions sometimes for flaccid kegels, and also btw quick contractions are good for ballooning while erect for clamping and etc..
i progressed from quick contractions to manual clamped erect kegel holds where u do an OK-grip at the deep base and then hold a kegel for as long as u can to keep tat expansion as much as u can so not only do u work the PC muscle but also the girth
i worked my way up to holding a kegel for anywhere up to 18+ seconds and i would do 9 reps of those, and a total of 9 sets usually or as much as can, so it would usually be 81 reps of 18 seconds or so holds.
then i progressed to wearing a ring at the base and following same steps of the holds as i had just mentioned
