Yeah. One must figure out what causes this depression and attack it. Get rid of whatever is causing your depression. Relationship? Get rid of him/her or modify it and talk about it. Weather?(For DLD) put some upbeat music or music you enjoy, dance, play games, exercise, watch something that gets you hype, spend time with family, have very long conversations.

Charles Darwin actually suggested that depression is an evolutionary advantage. His reasoning was complex but it has to do with the ability to appreciate the reality of the situation and make changes to the conditions In order to encourage survival in more than a simple eat sleep and fuck kind of sense. Sometimes depression is simply a chemical issue, especially in my case. Every November 1st my depression comes no matter what I do. It will remain with me until Spring. I have learned to work through it and make the most of my life during these tough times. Seasonal Effective Disorder is very real.
