I would think it's possible to overdo it and your body is retracting to avoid injury or you're just heavily strained. Kinda like if you do a mega workout in the gym and you're really stiff and sore after.
But I'm gonna lean towards the long break taking a little away.
Now the experts can chime in and tell me if I guessed right or wrong because I'm just guessing.

The pros are gonna chime in later and if they think the same way we do then we're all doomed.

Okay maybe it's not that bad lol.

A long break could reduce your BPFSL if the gains were not cemented first. Also an intense work out could reduce the size especially if you choose to not use a UJW or something along that line to prevent turtleing, reason behind this is your body will see the change and want to bring it back in together to heal unless you keep it in a elongated position during this healing process you will constantly be fighting your body. Now not using a UJW (or what not) you will still gain just at a slower rate, I am no expert but this would be my best educated guess just dont take my sanity as being any better than cladre60's.

Big Schwanz Acht;730098 said:A simple (perhaps too simple) analogy is the affect stretching has on a rubber band. Stretch for 5 seconds and release, the rubber band returns to its original shape. Stretch and hold for a few minutes and it returns to maybe 95% of its shape. Stretch the holy crap out of it and hold it for 5-10 minutes and it will struggle to return but will have lost some 'elasticity'. Rinse/repeat
*caveat emptor* everybody's 'rubber band' has a slightly different make-up, so what works for one may do the opposite for another...the only constant I see with my routine is consistency and force provide gains, (and when I say 'consistency', this means every day for over 2 years).
p.s. my mind works in a similar fashion, Cladre

Another insanity candidate! Lol
Sinthious;730097 said:How much of a decrease did you experience? How long was your break? and last what is your routine? Those questions may help someone identify whats happening.
doublelongdaddy;730100 said:The decrease was most likely uncemented gains. Why did you stop?
Making length gains stick takes consistency and a deformation of the Tunica. The Tunica is very important in this as it limits the length and girth we can gain due to it's density. The Tunica has a density of around 95% making it only 5% elastic. This sounds discouraging at first look but not is really a blessing. Since the Tunica is so dense, when it is deformed it will never return to the size it was. Big used the example of an rubber band, that would apply to ligaments and there is great merit in this. Eventually the elasticity will give way but it is vital that the Tunica is prepared to accept and cement those increases. I hope this makes sense.
Sinthious;730159 said:Half a cm isnt bad over 2-3 months hard to say completely as that long enough for a slight decrease of uncemented gains but body weight changes including muscle loss could affect that amount as well. I know the term uni as slang for the mental hospital in town so i am not sure that's what your talking about lol. Thats Great dont let anything or anyone stop you from making you the best person you can be and with that attitude you can accomplish anything you set your mind too.
