It seems like every time I meet someone new and they find out about what I do and did in the past, they have to let me know they have an 8" cock. Why is 8" the magic number for most men? I'm pretty sure 95% of the men on this forum never seen an 8" cock in person.

It would seem that 8" is impressive to mention, even if they don't have one, they want you to believe they do. I think your right Brother Lightning about most guys on here never even seeing an 8 incher in person before. I know I never have!

From what I've noticed a lot of guys claiming to have large penises are either lying , estimating or have merely been told by their partners to have that size. But then again as DLD has said in the past it's also an ego thing. So even if one were to really have an eight inch member, it's likely a greater size would be desired as a source of confidence.

At 8" I seriously doubt a man would need us but then again bigger is better to most men so they may end up here anyways. The goal for most men is the 8" mark and with my extensive experience in the PE world I have rarely seen evidence of a true 8" that many claim (or more). It could be ego or overestimating or maybe even improper measuring. I know that before I started PE most women pegged me at 2" more than I was, I never denied it and it became a roomer that benefited me but if the girl ever broke out a ruler they would have easily seen that I was 6.5". It feels good to have a real measurement of the accomplishments I have made, no more lies or guessing, if a girl wants to measure break it out and do your thing.
 
Maybe everyone is measuring from their asshole? Or including the inner penis in the measurements?

I'm 7.87 in (20cm) BPEL and length is still my primary goal. So while not 8" yet, I'm pretty close. Totally agree it just looks a bit bigger but isn't insanely massive which can be counter productive in a way

8 is the number that men love, it is an inch bigger than what most women want so they know they will satisfy the female but it will also impress the boys too. When a man truly has this size he realizes how big it is, especially when a woman sees it. I think men lie about 8" because it is what they dream of being perfect. I guess lying to yourself is a form of visualization and if a man uses the dream to make the reality happen it is all good.

Most girls I've been with would most likely agree that most white guys are around 6" give or take a 1/2". Although I did have a girl tell me she thought I was like 9" by the way it filled her up. Phenomenal question. I am in for an answer on this. I could see this being true that 8" is about the most they could handle. Plus some are shorter, one of my exs I would bottom out in and that was with only 6".
