Thought a lot about this too and after reading lots of threads and doing some research I don't think it's hindering gains as it's a natural process, especially in the beginning (first 4-6 weeks).
However, that it's not hindering gains doesn't mean it wouldn't be better to use anti-turtling devices like wraps/mummy/ads and so on.

I for myself don't wanna play around with luck or losing possible more gains LOL So I'm trying to have my dick in an extended state for as long as I can, mostly completely during the day and soon also trying to be in an extended state throughout the night too.
