When doingverect twists, I understand you hold the base and then - do you hold and twist the glands and whole shaft or hold the base and shaft and twist instead of just the glands and base?

Also, will flaccid twists help?

Yes, you grip from the head and from the base. And from there, you do slight twists. These can definitely be done while flaccid. But I believe that bundled stretches are best.
