it works great. never did the DP 4000 because I like controlling the pressure using my hands. Was never interested in programming variable pressures. I like twisting the knob with my hand and feeling the change in pressure as i twist. This pump has a few pre set pump setting but I dont find them comfortable.

Look in the pumpers forum. Lots of good info in there. Seriously, a good pump setup should run $70-$100 and last for years. No gimmicks needed. Your biggest investment should be your tube. The hand pump with guage might be another $20 from Mityvac.
