I'm new to the forum, I'm ftm transgender, post-op simple metoidioplasty. I've decided I'd join and start a log as motivation for me to stick with my routine, plus as help for any other trans guys out there who might be in a similar position. For those who aren't familiar: FTM means I was born female and have transitioned to male. I go by male pronouns.

I've been on testosterone for 6 years, and my clit (I prefer to call it a dick or penis) has grown substantially, but likely won't grow any more on its own at this point. The surgery I had (simple metoidioplasty) is also sometimes called a clitoral release; basically the suspensory ligament was cut, and some other surrounding tissue was removed or reshaped, then sewn together on the underside of my penis so it now looks like a tiny penis. I more or less look like a guy with a micropenis now; I'm hoping to get to a point where I look like a guy with maybe just a smaller-than-average penis :)

My current measurements:
Base circumference: 6.5cm
Head circumference: 8.4cm
Flaccid length: 3.5cm
Stretched, bone-pressed length: 6.4cm

I currently have trouble maintaining an erection for more than a few seconds, so it's hard to get an erect length measurement. I'm more of a shower than a grower though, I mostly just get a bit firmer.

My goals:
Even out base and head circumference. If I can get both to 9cm I think that's a good starting point. I want to keep everything proportional, length and girth-wise.
Flaccid length: I want to reach 8cm. Not sure how realistic this is, but it gets me closer to "normal" male range (which I believe is around 9cm)

I'm also hoping to achieve firmer/more consistent erections, but right now I see that as an added side-bonus that should hopefully come with improving circulation and building up girth along the base of my shaft. This may also be limited by my anatomy. I've tried cialis in the past and didn't have any noticeable change to my erections, so it's possible I just don't have enough erectile tissue to support a "normal" erection.

I have been pumping off and on for years, and have had trouble sticking to a routine. Mostly I just have a hectic schedule and some way or another I always seem to get off track. I'm hoping that documenting and having some specific goals will help, and will also be waking up a bit early every day to set aside some specific stretch time.

Today I've started DLD's Newbie Routine and I'm planning on doing it every morning after I shower. I'll remeasure after 2 weeks and see how things are going.

I'm also thinking about getting the SizeGenetics extender, but I'm not sure I'm long enough to fit. I think if I could wear an extender all day while at work I'd be far more likely to stick with it, as opposed to spending a lot of time before or after work focused on just my dick (stretching/pumping). I also don't have balls, and I'm not sure if that would cause slipping or comfort issues with an extender.

I would appreciate any advice/support you guys can offer. This seems like a great forum and I'm excited to share my journey with all of you!

Hi how are you, welcome to the board.

Interesting about erections. I'd never thought much about it, re going from female genitalia to male. I watched a TED talk recently which described the human penis tunica as having a helix structure (like a Chinese finger trap) which is one reason why it goes rigid under tension unlike a balloon which remains floppy.

I don't have a super amount of advice, just to keep a whatever-works mentality.

The SG might work well for you. Time under tension is what you need for consistent growth. The basic kit is good but it may take you a while to find what fits best. Myself I got a 3D printer a while back and printed different bases and head styles for personal use, still using the SG rods.

Found the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7SWcQaoaRQ

I have to correct myself after watching the video. Diane Kelly discovered that the penis tunica is multiple layers arranged with fibers 90 degrees apart. This is what gives it the peculiar rigidity, and it also may hold clues as to how to improve EQ if we consider the possibility of controlling the direction of growth in the tunica fibers.

well if your surgery was recent then try keeping the intensity low in the beginning while doing manual stretches.......thats all i can say

Thanks for the TED Talk link TMJ, was really interesting to watch. I believe my equipment is mostly the same as a small penis, but with less overall erectile tissue. So hopefully whatever works for regular penises will at least partially work for me.

I don't have a 3D printer, but that's a pretty ingenious way to get a customized fit. I've read varying reports of the minimum size for using the SG; in searching through the forums, sometimes I see it quoted as 3.5" minimum, sometimes as low as 2", and since I'm around 2.5" stretched I'd hate to order one and then it not fit. I've seen the Andropenis Mini stretcher that is for guys under 3.5" but I can't find any reviews of it comfort-wise.

And pogzee, good surgery disclaimer. I'm fully healed from surgery and was cleared by my surgeon to do stretches to help soften up some of my scar tissue, but even so I probably went a little gung-ho too soon :)

Today is day 4 of my stretches, observations so far:
Some bruising on the top of my shaft, probably from the jelqing. I've decided to be a bit more gentle and slow but still keep up with the routine every day, unless it doesn't seem to be getting better after a few days.
I have noticed more firmness while jelqing, which makes it easier to hold on and will hopefully help me loosen my grip a little and avoid more bruising.
Yesterday I had the hardest erection I've ever had in my life :O And it seemed to last a bit longer than mine usually do.

I'm excited to be noticing some changes already, looking forward to measuring in a couple weeks and seeing if there's measurable changes.

Have you used dht cream? And curious what your test dose is and do you take an aromatase inhibitor?

I haven't used Andactrim or DHT cream. I asked for it years ago and my primary care doc said it doesn't do anything and wouldn't prescribe it. Plus it's illegal in the US or something. I know there have been studies plus there's some good anecdotal evidence that it can help, but it can be hard to find a doctor who's even willing to see me so I didn't want to push it.

I inject testosterone cypionate once weekly, my exact dose varies but I do have my testosterone levels checked often. I'm usually between 600 and 900 ng/dL. I don't take an aromatase inhibitor.

You may have better luck looking for a wellness center that takes your insurance. Often they use a compounding pharmacy and can make up whatever you need. I am on HRT and it's not something my primary care is really into so I went to a place more specialized.

That's a good t level. Higher than my natural level. You can buy the cream online if you want. I've heard it's the most effective thing but you may have already gotten all the grown you will from chemical from your test c. I'm surprised you don't take an ai. What is your estrogen level at? I would think you would want to have it suppressed pretty far down. 800 t and 20 estro would be a good balance, last I checked my e was 12

Thanks for all the advice guys. Because I still have ovaries, I believe I would need to take a few different drugs to shut down estrogen production and also prevent testosterone from being aromatized into estrogen; an AI alone wouldn't be very helpful. Since there's a lot of risks with those sorts of drugs, and it took me a few years to find a good balance with my T dose where I'm not breaking out or losing hair like crazy, I'm reluctant to make any drug changes for now. If stretching doesn't seem to have any positive effect, then maybe I'll have to reconsider, but I'm looking at it as more of a last resort type of thing.

My estrogen level is on the high end for a male; around 100 last I had it checked. I do have a follow-up scheduled soon to go over my most recent bloodwork, since I think my E level has increased over the past year despite me not changing my dosage. Mostly concerned from a cancer screening perspective though.

I do think I've probably maxed out chemical gains at this point; 5 years seems to be around the max that guys will see growth from hormone therapy alone. That's why I'm hoping stretching will take me to the next level :)

Yah you can definitely make more gains. I started at 6 and I'm now 7.5. I've learned everything here

Love it!

Been two weeks so wanted to update on progress. Measurements this morning:

Base circumference: 7.5cm (+1.0cm)
Head circumference: 8.5cm (+0.1cm)
Flaccid length: 4.0cm (+0.5cm)
Stretched, bone-pressed length: 7.0cm (+0.6cm)

This week I'm going to try pumping instead of jelqing. I'll remeasure at a week just to make sure I don't lose any ground. In case anyone's curious: For pumping I use a TSP Post-Op Cylinder that was specifically designed for post-op trans men. I also have a Pre-Op Cylinder that I still use sometimes. The main difference in design is a stepped base (post-op) vs flared base (pre-op).

Wow, congratulations on the gains, seeing this in such a short time is a great sign of good progress. Keep up the awesome work.

When I pump I usually mix it up a bit. I try not to get any fluid retention, just good erect expansion. 10 minutes of pump, then some jelq and stroking, then another 10 minutes of pump, until I get bored. Use lube and keep a glass of water nearby to re-wet.

That is great and it really is in line with the way SRT advocates for BathMate use. I am glad you are working in this style as it will bring you gains so much faster than any other method.

I don't have a lot of time in the mornings when I do my routine, so just swapped 10 minutes of pumping in place of jelqing, with alternating pressure. After a week of that I've found my erection strength/hardness has decreased. My measurements are all the same so at least I didn't lose any gains, but I was enjoying the harder erections. So I'll be swapping back to jelqing. I'll just need to be more gentle/slow I think so I don't end up bruising myself again.

This is most likely due to fatigue. Maybe you should do a mix of both jelqing and pumping as described in SRT. It really is the best of both worlds.

Thanks for the tip. This morning I pumped for 6 mins and then jelqed for 5, hopefully that'll strike a good balance. I don't have the time to alternate between both for very long or multiple times each day.
