Not eating what you want it's stupid, once in a while your body craves for something unhealthy. It's ok to eat it,but with moderation. You should eat like 90 % healthy and 10 % unhealthy, and as long as you do cardio, hit the gym or whatever you do for exercise, your body won't feel that 10 % of unhealthy food.

For instance, during Lent there are rules in the Catholic Faith about fasting. I got so tired of having to fast on those days that I decided I will just fast for the entire month. This worked and I no longer dreaded fasting. With food I eat the same thing every day because I know it is helping me get to where I wanna be. I have extreme discipline.

Now realizing both ideas you can see why we eat big portions. Most of us eat big portions and we get used to eating like that so we eat a lot-thus gaining weight (besides the reason of crap food). Other countries don't eat big of portions.
Fasting is also a good example of adaptation. I've fasted before for maybe a whole week. I would fast from when I woke up until 3 pm in the afternoon. After the 3rd day I wouldn't get hungry in the morning anymore.
We can see how easily we can control hunger.

I'm cheering you on DLD

DLD,how was your weight loss program?Just diet and cardio? Can you give me some details please?I'm struggling with weight loss too.Not overweight, but that damn belly fat is still there
doublelongdaddy;674950 said:I am 5' 10". I did no cardio at all, I only reduced my caloric intake and made it mostly proteins and complex carbs. I eat about 8 oz of dried, fat free beef, whole grain cereal and low fat milk. I allow my left a lollipop or two if I am having sugar cravings. I also supplement my lack of vegetables with a drink that has everything I need. Not very complex really, just simple. I plan on weight training when I hit 185 and I will probably also include some light cardio for cut. I wish it was a big complicated diet and exercise routine I was on and I could give you tons of advice but it wasn't, it was simply a reduction in calories and a change in the foods I eat.
