Next time you see some condoms for sale take a look at how many normal sized condoms are for sale, and how few are in 'large' size. Many types of condoms you can't even buy large sized. For the manufacturers there just isn't the market.
If the average girth was 5.5 inches a substantial portion of men would be 5.75+, however as we can see from this example it is a small portion. Another thing to keep in mind is that men will go for bigger sizes if they possibly can. And even with that they still sell very few large sized ones.
