Physically, no but mentally perhaps. I think that one can become stagnant due to repetition and a break has the mental capacity to reset this mechanism. I see it as similar to taking a break in a relationship, the homecoming can be very productive.
 
I am new and haven't posted alot, but if i could give you one recommendation on your next break it would be to do the Body-for-life program. Who says you can't gain nbpel while not doing Pe? I always talk about Body-For-life because of the life changing results that occur. You WILL become ripped if you do it with 1/10th the dedecation you have for Pe. Plus you get to eat 6 times a day (if you want, or you could have a couple protien shakes). The whole program takes 12 weeks and it is life changing. Well, just keep it mind because no matter how out of shape you think you are this program will work. You got to start somewhere and sometime or your fitness will continue to slide. Just a thought, and oh yea I have been doing pe for about four weeks and have gained .25 inces in EL so far! That is with a break because of a t-vein. In the life changing department anymore gains like this will smash Body-for-Life. No more passing on pussy for my sexy ass! Thank you DLD!
 
I've been on a very long break. I'm in the process of picking up pumping again. The plan is to max out the pump and cement 7 inches mid shaft.

i can also confirm that 1-2 week breaks seemed to make a difference.what i havent figured out is what preceedes the improvement.

I'm finding that five on one off is the perfect routine because it gives you two days of rest after five. I always went seven on none off and now thinking, back on things, I think I might have gone this way from the beginning.If I understood healing properly
 
DLD im assuming after a break there should be a specific way to restart the training slowly so not to put tissues back into that tense mode?
Yes, if you take a break longer than 5 days, you should definitely start at a low level and increase over a couple of weeks. But if it's a short break like two days, you don't really need to worry about that too much, just do as much as you can.And see how you feel.
