So? Which is better as far as expansion and gains go?

When I clamp tightly all I see is little girth expansion but a lot of fluid build up. When I clamp loosely (like 1-3 clicks left) I see a lot of expansion, veins are popping more and it stay engorged for a longer time. So it is safe to say that clamping loosely works better for me as far as expansion goes.

Then again, alot of big gains from clamping say clamping tightly is definately the way to go.

So what do you guys think?

I think clamping too tightly cuts off almost all blood flow to your penis, which can't be good. I seem to lose my erection really fast when i clamp too tight. It is a good way to damage your penis, if you clamp too tight your penis will go numb, or worse.

Clamping at a comfortable, yet effective tightness is ideal. you want to get that expansion, plus you only want to slow down the blood flow, not stop it completely. If your rock hard, swollen, and extra veiny, I say your doing the right thing. Also you want to be able to gain an erection after your clamping session, to ensure you did not overwork the penis. After a good girth routine I make sure I can get to a full hard erection, to me thst is how I measure my workouts effectiveness.

If I can't get a full hard erection after my workout I make adjustments either in time, or clamping pressure, to ensure the next time I clamp, I can get erect. This allows me to know that my workout was productive and not a waste of time.
 
How many times do you click for the best expansion? It might help me somewhat, because you are about my size in girth.

Sorry I cant tell you how many clicks, because I don't count them. I go by how my penis looks and feels. Since depending on what type of padding you use can effect how many clicks it might take.

Just make sure you have a ROCK solid erection, good veins, and good expansion. You don't want any pain, especially where the clamp is. The more you pay attention to the feelings you are experiencing, to more in touch with your penis you will be, and you will never need to second guess yourself on how intense your clamp pressure should be.

Also your dick might darken some while clamped that is normal, but you don't want it to go completly purple, even a little bit numb, or too cold. I believe a clamp should be just a little tighter than a good fitting cock ring.
 
After my gruesome injury i would have to beleive in what crazyed^ is saying . I clamped for 2 years at full CLICK of the cable clamp . and never felt any pain , BUT got thicker
and who knows what caused my injury the hanging or the full effect clamping??

play it safe dude and see if you can gain girth withought going "all out"
 
This is very interesting. I have been clamping tight for a while (I'm an off-and-on son of a bitch...new years resolution time) and haven't had too much gains. I think I'm going to try easing up a bit on the pressure perhaps...maybe I'm not letting enough blood in.
 
Well what ever you chose to do know that of you feel your about to cum take the clamp off right away. I'm positive that is what has been causing me to cum blood. Just be careful and take it slow.

I do do that. Holding it in probably is good to do.
 
^Do you notice you dick very veiny but soft (for lack of a better word, don't know how to explain it) at the same time?

I agree when you clamp lightly. I was referring to clamping tightly it should be taken off. Sorry for the confusion.
 
But is cumming in the clamp even safe at all? :O

I've read a bit on this, doesn't seem to be anything good from it.

Crazyed, has summed up my thoughts on clamping (so far) very well. It's actually very hard to say "how many clicks" someone should use on their clamp. It's going to vary for EVERY man due to different penis girths/shapes. PLUS, not everyone uses the same wrapping material, nor the same amount of wrap. It's like when I was hanging, and trying to give other men advice on how much wrap, or how tight to have their BIB..it was almost impossible to give a definite answer because every mans' penis is different...similar in structure from a biological standpoint, but different from a size, and shape standpoint.

You really just have to experiment. I'd really like to see this clamping forum continue to grow though (ha ha pun intended) with knowledge, and user based feedback.
 
In my experience the degree of clamping/pressure needs to vary. I think if you clamp hard every day the damage tends to build up, and gains stall till you let it recover for a while, it tends to shrink as it heals or something.

On the other hand if you don't clamp enough, then gains tend to peter out after a while.

I've had some of my best gains by doing heavier than normal clamping after some weeks of less heavy clamping. When I feel my dick gently 'creaking' when I go to heavier clamping again, it seems like a good sign.

I suppose keeping your dick guessing is probably a good thing.
 
I have clamped approxiamtely 5 days a week with a hose clamp as tight as possible. Gained about 3/4 in two years. I am now going to try an every other day and see if a rest day helps.

I would also suggest that you clamp not as tight as well, and keep your dick as hard as you can during your sessions, I get my best post workout gains from lighter clampin 10 min sets, until I fell my dick is done, usually after 3 to 4 sets.

warm up and cool down as well. A good cool down is trying to get as hard as possible after a session for around 10 mins.
 
Seems I get alot of expansion (not lymph) from clamping tightly for a littly under 2 minutes, then opening up the clamp to the last click for the remaining minutes. If I start to lose the erection, I repeat the above.
 
It can also depend on how thick your wrapping is...the thicker the wrapping the less clicks it takes for blood constriction. So it might differ from person to person. I normally click until its hard to click anymore (almost all clicks). It also depends on if I am just leaving the clamp on, or if I am doing something while clamping.

I don't really know what is better yet. I have never thought about it:)
 
Crazyed has said it. I know I have said in the guides about clicks but that was regarding me. Its impossible to give that for everyone.
