The Superman05xx Thicker Man Clamp Review
rating scale: 1-10 (1 being bad and 10 being perfect)
*I intend to standardize my product reviews in the sense of categories which I use to give my opinions on various PE products. That way it will be easier for me to give consistent reviews and remember to cover the normal topics (which I used in my last review on the [words=http://www.phallosan.com/shop/catalog/default.php?z=eNortjIxtVKyL0pNszWxMFcrSSxKTy2JL0hMT7U1UisoykyxtbBQSy4tLsnPjS8uKcrMS7dVsgZcMMpbEbo%2C]phallosan[/words]) and over time of reviewing products I will add categories and use them consistently from then on.
Now the question that has to start this review is: Did Stillwantmore create a device that is valuable to PE. For those of you who are unaware, the thicker man clamp (originally called the thicker penis device) is an invention that Stillwantmore was selling in combination with his male hanger device. Quite a while ago he stopped selling this device and announced that he was selling this part of his company to an unnamed third party (reasons unknown). For those who don’t know Stillwantmore has been banned from [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] several times and is a self-proclaimed “bad boy of PE.” That said, I don’t think his products sell as well as they would if he had a better reputation. However, I wasn’t active in the PE world during Stillwantmore’s early antics nor was I effected by them so I believe I have a true ability to come at this product from an neutral position and give it a fair review. My main belief that is at play here and which should be at work in the mind of anyone that reads this review is that a product is either good or bad and things such as the reputation of the original maker doesn't take away from a product’s usefulness. That said on to the product review.
Size of device: 7, I give it at 7 because of the long screw it comes with to tighten up the device (which sticks out to the side quite a bit making things like ulis more difficult) as well as the length of the device (in the sense of how far it goes up the penis shaft) is a bit much. Now as far as the screw goes, I can see the benefit to using it. The most important benefit is if it broke or you lost the screw you could just go to a hardware store to replace it. Now as far as the thicker man clamp deciding to use a screw this long … well actually it could be pretty necessary. I say this because when you put on the device you need a good amount of the screw length to be used in order to just get the device locked in place without having to squeeze your penis to get the device on (I.e. the length of the screw allows you to take the device from extremely loose to tight as opposed to like a tight cock ring which starts tight and you have to somehow figure out to get it onto your penis). Also the length of this screw creates a one size fits all standard. Now the length of the device (as in how far it goes up your penis shaft length wise) is about the length of two cable clamps. This means that you will get more pressure (like if you used two cable clamps) but for me I believe the higher up you clamp the less the clamped area is able to grow. But an extra half inch or so isn’t that big a deal and if you do lengthening exercises it should develop the clamped part of your shaft (the base).
Accessories: The thicker man clamp doesn’t offer accessories nor is there a need for them since this is a stand alone device so this category is an NA.
Ability to create pressure (what a clamp is meant to do): 10, your ability to create internal pressure within your penis is insane. You can literally get it to the exact level of pressure you want and then some. One of the reasons I bought this device was because of the dash method which is here:
http://www.mattersofsize.com/forum/showthread.php?8995-New-girth-method-Dash-Rap&highlight=dash+wrap
Now the thicker man cable clamp is an easier way to get to the extreme pressures of the dash wrap and for those who could not get the dash wrap to work for them this device does the same thing (just easier). Now this can be dangerous so you have to pay attention to your body, which is why I am adding the category of “safety” below.
Safety: 5, clamping in itself is inherently dangerous and with this device it is no safer. This device actually is going to be more dangerous than a standard cable clamp because while the cable clamp can only get to a standardized tightness, the thicker man clamp has the ability to get super tight around the penis. Secondly the clamp isn’t super-fast to get off like the cable clamp, not that I have had a problem with that but for those who may have been situations where they had to get there clamp off fast, perhaps because of pain or because of a privacy issue, this device may not be the best for you. Also this device like any cable clamping style clamping device has the ability to pinch your skin so a good wrap or sleeve is a must (I use a silicone sleeve).
Comfort: 7, I give this device a 7 (which is passing) in the area of comfort because without a sleeve or wrap I don’t think I could use this device. The edges could have been round instead of square because the square edges can sometimes hurt.
Ease of use: 7, I give it a 7 because no instructions are needed but I take away 3 points from the full 10 because it isn’t exactly easy to switch during supersets of like pumping to this device. It takes about a minute or so to get it on and continue your workout and that’s no knock against the device itself or its construction but this is a rating based on its usefulness for PE in general (and in general a lot of us use supersetting).
Consumer service: I did not contact consumer service so this area is a NA.
Shipping: 10, I bought this device on June 2, 2014 and it came like 2 days later. It came in plain packaging with no advertisement of what was inside the package.
*by shipping I mean quickness and discreteness.
Value: 7, this rating is based on the fact that you can get a cable clamp at a much cheaper price. It should also be noted that this device was originally like 15 dollars when SWM sold it but now since it is a different company it sells for 20 dollars plus shipping. Then shipping is around 8 dollars …. That 40% of what the device costs! The device being a small as it is (weight wise it shouldn’t cost that much) and it isn’t extremely valuable (so insurance shouldn’t be that costly). That said shipping is a standard cost and if it varied based on location it would be better and cheaper. Overall that isn’t very cheap for a simple clamp but in my conclusion below I will give reasons why someone should buy this device.
Conclusion: Out of the available 70 points I give the Thicker Man clamp 53 points which is a 75%. Now compared to some of my other reviews this may seem a bit low but that is mainly for these reasons: value, comfort, ease of use and safety. Now value for me doesn’t necessarily rule me out from buying a device but it normally takes me longer to take the “plunge” so to speak (because I am cheap) and decide to set aside money to buy whatever device I have been looking at. Comfort isn’t something you really should expect out of clamping in the first place since clamping is for men who can handle a little pain and push through it. As far as safety goes you have to be careful with any form of PE but this sort of “limitless clamping” is something you have to be most careful of. The higher the intensity the more chances for injury but also the greater the chances are for gains if you do it in a reasonable manner. Now the ease of use area, I am mainly referring to the ability to get the device on and off in a short period of time. If I simply were going by the idea of just using the device alone it would get a 10. For the guys who superset you will have to be patient going back and forth between this device and something like pumping but it is worth the extra time you have to take doing your girth workout.
I highly recommend this device even though it does not score high according to my review method.
There are two people who should get this device:
I don’t necessarily recommend this device for the PE noobie because of the above mentioned dangers but if a new PE-er decided to try this device they should play close attention to their penis during the use of the thicker man clamp.

There are two people who should get this device:
- People who have been clamping for awhile and need higher intensity
- People who keep breaking the cable clamps they are using
I don’t necessarily recommend this device for the PE noobie because of the above mentioned dangers but if a new PE-er decided to try this device they should play close attention to their penis during the use of the thicker man clamp.
