I was reading in Aaron Kemmer's book the section on 'Plateaus and breaks' a story about a guy who had worked up to hanging several hours per week and making no gains.

"After nearly a year of ample work and no growth, Chris realized, "If I haven't gained yet, something must be wrong." Still committed to reaching his goal. Chris did some research. He heard that taking an extended break will possibly restart his growth, so he took three months of from penile exercising. When Chris came back, he was surprised to find that his goals rolled in rapidly.." ('Exercising the penis, Aaron Kemmer')

Apparently a deconditioning break may be a good way for me to make some gains.

A lot of best gains occur at the start of exercising, or when they find a routine of optimum intensity without overtraining.

Has anyone tried to break a plateu by deconditioning their penis (making it feel like it's starting from fresh again) and then made good progress using an interval training schedule?

I gained about. 25 inch in a few months and hadn't really gained much here of late. I've taken about a week off because some personal issues and it looks like it might be a little while before I can get motivated again so I will let u know in a month or 2

Nice one. I'm overcoming an injury and have been exercising for years, so I guess a month break for me should be good for body and mind. The theory to deconditioning sounds like it should work. I'm staying optimistic

I have heard some guys who have done exercises for a long time and not gained the chance is usually they were doing the exercise wrong. Maybe when Chris started back again a year later he changed something up. I know for a fact you can make gains without taking a break. I also know for a fact it is good also to let your penis heal. Rest is never a bad thing when you are exercising, but I never missed a day for almost a year and everything was going great. I never had an injury and I never hit a plateau. If a guy is hitting a plateau what he always needs to do is switch up the routine. I wanted to make gains the fastest possible so I learned as much as I could as fast as I could and it worked for me. So I don't think you have to take rest days to gain, but I do know that if I am having a lot of fatigue it is helpful when I rest because my erection looks bigger after a day or two. Some days my routine was extra intense and other days was a light workout, but I always did something and you never want to get to comfortable with resting that it turns into a penis vacation resort.

Every time I hit a plateau I would create a extreme workout that I would follow for a week or two, this always brought me to the next level. I never really took a break as I was scared I would lose motivation so rest was never an option. If I was stuck on a routine I made a new more intense routine with completely new stretches and girth work. The [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]Matters of Size[/words] Phases follow this and the progression of intensity and advanced exercises can be seen just looking through the Phases.

Just thought i'd update this post to say that I'm back on the mission after my break. I'm starting all over again from phase one but adding super set slow squah and isolated compression squeeze from phase 5 after completing 100 jelqs (600 jelqs, 6 supersets altogether). Penis seems healthy for it coming towards the end of my first week. Just staying optomistic that this time around I'll get some growth.

Just coming to the end of a 3 month break myself and hoping to see gains like I did when I started. Actually, my first couple months starting in Dec '09 I had no gains and was quite discouraged. At the three month mark I had gained 1/4 inch and this continued for a year... 1/4 inch about every quarter. Months 12 to 15 I had a very little gains and months 15 through 18 I had been stuck despite increased intensity and duration. Girth has also been very difficult gaining in 18 months about 1/8 of an inch. I don't mind being a hard gainer... a long as I can see some gains I don't mind waiting for them, but month after month of nothing and I really felt I hit a plateau. I don't know if the tissue just became too hardened to stretch or if more gains were just around the corner, but spending 2 or more hours a day hiding this from my wife and raising 2 young kids was really taking it's toll. Not seeing results on top of it was just too much. It was tough call and actually difficult to stop... it becomes so habitual...but I committed to taking a 3 month break and I'm planning on starting again with the [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/forum/penis-enlargement-newbie-forum/1597-dlds-first-routine-i-gained-2-inches-with-this-routine-full-tutorial.html]newbie routine[/words]. If only I had known about this in my early twenties when I had no wife or kids...

Three months means you are a newbie again....now go get that newbie 1" gains!

If you break for so long, will you lose gains? Obviously you will lose temporary gains but what about "permanent" ones. Silly question I know.

Thanks DLD, that is my hope. Kitfisto, I haven't lost anything over 3 months... having said that I hadn't really gained in the 6 months leading up to my break and I'm glad it seems to have been sufficient effort to cement the gains I have made.

I'm one of those who has done the so-called de-conditioning break after taking several years out from Penis Enlargement in around 2008 I started again in 2009 and noticed gains comeback. I don't perform Penis Enlargement daily anyway but weekly, however longer breaks every 12-16 months seem to do the world of good. Some guys keep chirping about how different a muscle in say an arm is to the penis blah blah blah and yes we know that, but its not that which is enabling change but the CNS (Central nervous system) along with other organ functions and systems. If you work too hard and drain these then nothing new comes around and your body cant heal or grow as it would which is why REST works a treat.

The fact is that its the CNS that is aiding the growth in us all form dick to the calves its just the STIMULUS and type of tissue that is used/worked that is different. Guys who are very stressed with jobs in life and do exercise will note gains are harder and when you narrow it down your CNS is being overworked. Every time I took an extended rest and came back, lifting weights for strength or body mass and dick size I noted it better from the break.

No you will not loose permanent gains in the penis. I took approx 1 1/2 - 2 years out from Penis Enlargement and lost NOTHING apart from some temp size I had not cemented or in other words made it permanent.

One time I lost me penis completely, I found it stuck up in an old [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] I had laying around:)
