First let me understand your thought process, Your thinking that the stretches for length alone are enough to gain in girth by the tissue retracting after the stretch and rather then going back towards the pelvic bone that its expanding correct? Now i know everyone's body reacts a little different from forces applied to the body but here is my reasoning for arguing, when your stretching your coaxing the cells to divide and grow that happens because the tissue is having an external force applied to it that part i think we all can agree on, where it becomes a little bit more complicated it your theory.
When it retracts that tunica is at this point softer and more malleable making girth gains possible, but without the cc retaining the blood and forcing it out any change to the tunica would be minimal. The penis is unlike a rubber band when stretching it wont get thinner its just not possible and as the tunica only has about a 5% elasticity the amount of increased pressure from the stretch would not be enough to add any gains to girth besides a change that couldn't be measured as i could see the tissue thickening a little as it heals. The whole reason that girth exercises work is because your increasing the capacity that the cc can hold by using it to exert a great amount of force to a softened tunica. There is a way to prove otherwise of course and that would be doing nothing but length exercises, no clamping, no [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/forum/penis-enlargement-forum/12539-slow-squash-jelq-nothing-give-me-better-expansion.html]SSJ[/words], nothing that will keep the blood in the cc take measurements before and after each session and document them after a while the evidence will prove what ideology is correct. One other thing to take into consideration one way cell growth is simular is in muscle growth, when you exert a greater force that was it is set to accommodated the tissues gain microscopic tears that then the body heals and causes growth the same applies to penis growth but unlike muscle that can contract and get thicker the tunica with its limited elasticity prevents any lasting or noticeable changes.
