I seen someone in another video pressing @ the head doing the compression. Seems there are different ways it's being done.

I do it w/ the similar concept, but variations. It's just what was natural for me when I started them.

There is always going to be variations in the SSJ, there are many ways to squeeze, compress and expand using it. It is a very intuitive exercise open to modification for personal user preference.

yeah i personally like to angle the squeeze to the right (to counter a curve), and now and then throw in some bends whilst still holding at the base, going back and forth between that and downward compression. this gives me very good expansion

The first time I did it was really a workout. I thought my hands were conditioned from other PE stuff, but the finger clamp really did me in I think. When I start my girth routine I'm probably going to use an actual clamp or band of some sort.

That is what I like most about the SSJ is the fact it can be done so many different ways. It keeps the exercise interesting and allow the user to carry, greatly, intensity and form.

Do this exercise when you feel you're ready for the next step. Don't replace jelqs as a beginner yet though, the two can go hand in hand.

Ease into them and start slowly, one SSJ at the time

You can start with SlowSquashJelq immediately as there is little difference in learning the jelq or the SSJ. Anything in PE that is being started should be done with care and safety, withholding nothing you can not do. For instance the Newbie Routine stretches are done by hand by most people but there is no difference in the learning of such using the LengthMaster. How I gauge if an exercise is something I am ready to do is through first taking my time to learn and the secondly, doing the exercise and seeing how I feel after. If there is no ill experience I know I can use that exercise.

Another note on the Jelq in comparison to the SSJ, the Jelq will never bring the expansion and gains the the SSJ delivers...ever!
 
learn how to do it before jumping on the horse,you don't wanna break your penis lol. and when you do, try the upward motion,crazy expansion
