Faulty vein gets filled using tiny springs or glue to block it off. Everything is done using keyhole surgery straight into your veins using a catheter. There is only one tiny cut made, the procedure is quick and you go home 2 hours later (get a taxi or lift with someone).

I had this done and highly recommend it.

Hey man, I have a Level 3 varicocele, and I haven't been using my Bathmate that i bought because of it. The sucking of that area just sucks my varicocele the wrong way and hurts a little, so I'm afraid to damage it.

Would embolization help? Meaning... would there be a risk of using the penis pump after? or would the the whole thing be back to actually being normal. (Afraid the pressure would suck the coil in there or something)

Any changes in mood, horniness, testicle size, testosterone?

Thank you!

Wow, thanks to those giving advice on this! God bless you all!

No, I don't think the embolization would help because the varicocele can come back from what I was doing my own research. You are better off to go for a varicocelectomy surgery as it is safe and have very small risks.

Before you decide to go for a surgery, I want you to be aware that the most problem which caused the varicocele are most likely to be a pelvic floor muscle issue. I have had a small varicocele when I had ultrasound so the urologist recommended me to do my research before I go back to see him to let him know of my decision. When I went home, I found on google that the pelvic floor are caused the varicocele, because the muscle are in spasm which reduce the blood flow to the penis and balls which caused the varicocele. It is bit like a pipe when you stand on it, ut will start to cause the pressure that swell on the pipe. The same things that happens with your varicocele. I found a dutch guy on a forum who have got the same problem like what I have got. I have spoken to him to go through it and later he have confirmed that the pelvic floor was involved when I have already knew in the first place.

However, I went to see a physiotherapy who are experts with pelvic floor. She found that my pelvic floor is fine, but I have been diagnosed with a pelvic tilt. She has been really helping me to do the exercises to try to release the tightness muscles as my hamstrings and psoas muscle are tightness, but my posture is bit bad as I get mild back pain. I has been doing the exercises which it have been really helping, but the muscles got tightness again so I has been advised to go for pilates class. I'm still a long way to go, but I will fight for it as this condition has driving me mad and it is a nightmare.
