From what I have seen and this is from going over many different forums since 1999, surgery is extremely 'hit or miss'. In all that time, I have yet to see any publicly shared "before and after" images that were not on a surgeons' site. I admit, I may have missed them if anyone else knows of some verifiable testimonials that have no ve$$ted intere$t$ behind them, please do share. That alone should tell most guys something. At least with procedures like breast augmentation, you can talk to living people who have had it done. I am of course, sure there are men out there who have had what most of us would consider excellent results from one penis surgery, or another....assuming similar gains were made through PE.
Girth procedures scare me the most. You are either having something completely foreign like a sheet of silicone implanted under the skin, donor tissue from a cadaver (albeit sterilized....still creepy to me) inserted under the skin, or some artificial material (PMMA a synthetic micro bead) or fat from another location of your body injected under the skin.
All have a chance of infection and rejection.
The donor tissue method I am familiar with involves "Alloderm", which is the brand name of the tissue 'grafts'.
With the fat injection method, the body reabsorbing the fat and creating a lumpy penis is the main concern and requires often, follow up visits to "fix" for however long.
With the PMMA micro beads, they can migrate around in the penis causing similar issues with lumps and the need for follow ups. I have read reports though, of men being more satisfied
with this technique than the other surgical girth techniques.....when it works out correctly.
With lengthening procedures, those I am personally familiar with, are all pretty much variations of the same technique which involves "release" (sounds friendlier than severing, or cutting) the top suspensory ligament and then re positioning/reattaching it at a lower position. Some surgeons use a scalpel, others use a surgical laser. From what I have been able to make out from my own research on lengthening surgery "success", or "failure" stories, the main factor seems to be whether the patient followed the proper post op protocol which usually involves a stretching device, or using a weight hanging technique....surprise, surprise! I have not been able to logically conclude if surgery improves the potential for gains, or if the patients would see similar results from simply using weight hanging. I lean toward the idea that they would likely see similar, or better results if they had simply hung weights. Then again, that assumes the average patient goes under the knife with a "virgin" penis. In other words, no previous exposure to penis enlargement techniques, or surgeries, or injuries to the groin, or some other health condition that may have caused a negative health issue with the penis affecting the size.
I actually did an episode of my podcast on Penis Enlargement and my thoughts and current knowledge base of what works. For those who want to listen:
