Big Schwanz Acht;717167 said:whoa...that's quite the soliloquy, Mike. My thought is that everyone's prism is different and what triggers one doesn't necessarily trigger all. Can a person explore all facets of their sexuality, (including naked people movies) without it becoming all-consuming? I'm guessing, 'yes', but I do agree that naked people movies is very much like any other brain-altering drug...unchecked it could remap your pleasure centers and prevent you from experiencing your life fully.
The litmus test that I employ is very simple, 'is what activity I'm engaged-in having a negative impact on my friendships, work, love-life, health?' If yes, then adjust/eliminate
Exactly true, everyone has different triggers and what is amazing to me is that my triggers start out so innocent, almost like the devil is setting a trap. I start to watch a show that, seemingly, is innocent only to find myself back at naked people movies! I hate it! So I now have decided to stop watching any TV or movies that trigger me. Believe me, this is a big struggle, one I never have got through so for the ones who do struggle I now can completely relate. naked people movies for me is the end result, the issue is the tiny steps from innocence into sexual distortion. Much like one who has quit drinking but starts to hang out with his drunk buddies, he will be triggered and maybe fall and relapse. The same applies here.
Last night I got through the night with no problems. During the day I did catch myself checking out a girl for too long but I corrected that as soon as I realized. So today marks one week with no masturbation.
