Hey guys I'm sure there are several threads out there which mention taking L-Citrulline daily for better erection quality and what-not. I was taking the supplement not long ago and I experienced much more FREQUENT/HARDER erections. So in my personal case, L-Citrulline worked very well. I took the capsule form, and however many capsules the bottle suggested is what I took. I was waking up with raging boners in the middle of the night, and that usually never happens to me. I have stopped taking L-Citrulline only because I ran out. I will be purchasing more soon, unless I decide to wait for the DLD Super Pill to come out. Maybe this bit of information will help some of you. Good luck fellas.

This definitely helped me. I was looking for good supplements that were more "natural". Do they sell this stuff at places like Walgreens or would I have to go through an actual supplement store?

I googled citruline a lot yesterday.

Purpose of citruline & arginine : raise nitrous oxide levels, EQ man!

Main difference is that citruline is synthetised in kidney instead of arginine in liver.

Natural vegetable sources of citruline is watermelon.. The sour part. Not the fruity one !
http://www.ehow.co.uk/info_7848282_foods-rich-citrulline.html

BUT Look for interactivity of citruline/arginine with herpes !

Watermelon used to be first dialysas method to clean kidney a long time ago.
The are meat sources of citruline along with eggs and beans.

I think that watermelon get way faster to kidneys than meat to liver.

Effect may be visible in less than an hour.

As I said, I googled it yesterday ... I'll rush to the market today !

I actually ordered mine from a body building supplement website man. I'm sure some local Walgreens or other pharmacies may carry it.

I'd probably get mine at purebulk.com...checkout the thread in the fitness forum...it's stickied, and has a lot of good info. Stuff ain't cheap, but bulk is the way to go.

I know puritan pride.com usually sells it at a pretty cheap price especially if you purchase when they have a crazy deal. They even have a pill form that has both L-Citruline and watermelon in it.

I am finally taking the L-Citrulline I ordered from PureBulk.

The suggested dosage is one teaspoon twice a day and this I followed.

But 1 to 2 hours after I take the powder I get a quesy stomach.

Is this an indication of overdosing?

I would like to halve the dosage but then L-Citrulline may not work (cure my ED or at least hard erection).

(I have used another brand of L-Citrulline powder but never had stomach trouble.
The dosage of that brand was 1/4 teaspoon which I doubled to 1/2 teaspoon once a day.)

Also, how is this to be taken? What I do is to fill a teaspoon and then put the powder
in my mouth followed by drinking a glass of water.
Any suggestion from experienced users?

Last but not least: the powder has unpleasant smell. It is indicated on the bag that the
product was prepared in May 2014. Expired?

I never heard of anyone OD'ing on citrulline. Nausea could be experienced through high blood-pressure though.

You might try the lower dosages and see if the nausea subsides and you keep whatever erections you had.

Are you using citrulline for any particular reason? Girth work or pre-sex?

If it shows that it expired before or expired shortly after you got it from purebulk. I would contact them and get a statement on it. I think the date represents potency and not that the product is probably bad. It's that through studies they probably concluded that it's 99.9% potent up until date "X/Y/ZZZZ" and potency subsides after (not sure @ what rate).

If you want an immediate response. Post on their facebook page that your shit expired and your date of purchase/received. They will probably jump on that in a heartbeat and replace it ASAP.

I know w/ citrulline/malate mixture that there is a sour taste due to malate. Not sure on pure L-Citrulline.

You would take it just like any other powder supplement. Either via water or something else to mask the taste. The only thing that's going to hinder it working via absorption issues is w/ a meal. So take into account how they recommend your meal timing, either w/ or w/o food.

@ smerc:

Thanks for your reply.

I decided to take L-Citrulline after reading it is a cure for ED.

For my PE routine I use Penomet (black gaiter) every other day.
I used to do jelqing and stretching but stopped after getting the sensation of "pinpricks"
at the base of my penis, usually on the right side and sometimes on the left.

My previous post was incomplete. I was embarrassed to add that the quesy stomach
was accompanied by lots of f*rting.

I wonder if other users of PureBulk L-Citrulline have similar experience.

I am starting to regret buying this product. The previous L-Citrulline
powder I purchased (Piping Rock brand) never gave me any trouble.
PureBulk's lower price attracted me to it.

Forgive my English. I reside in an Asian country, English is not my first language.

Was there nausea or was it just gas? Don't be embarrassed ;).
At least it wasn't magnesium citrate. That can give gas, but your farts end up being sharts.

I would really try to a replacement or refund (especially since it showing that it's out of date). Could just be their brand of product (hopefully not).

Didn't notice a thing. Your English is good.

Arganine makes me fart like crazy. I got 2 bottles of it for free and I just threw it out. I haven't had the same problem with citruline but I now take the latest and greatest which is agmatine. Look into that, it doesn't give me the same problems

interesting

"Was there nausea or was it just gas? Don't be embarrassed ."

I get the urge to vomit that lasts from one-half to one hour.
At the same time I keep farting a lot.
And dizziness too.

My plan is to use this for a month or two. Perhaps my stomach
will get use to PureBulk's L-Citrulline. If the problem I described
above persists I may have to buy another brand.

There is no expiration date indicated on the container although
there a date of manufacture (May 6, 2014).

Smerc, thanks a lot for your help.

Ah. I misread that date. Should be good to go.

I would just try different dosages and meal timings. Hopefully things pan out better.

Why do you need anything more than Viagra bro are you going to the gym? If then you could just take a pre-workout its better than pills were for me.

I take L-Citrulline to cure my erectile dysfunction. So far I still depend on Viagra to maintain erection.
But both Viagra and L-Citrulline are both vasodilators. Taking them together may result in very low
blood pressure and that could be life-threatening.

My question is: By how many hours should the taking of Viagra and L-Citrulline be separated?

By the way, I am 66 years old. I want to exercise daily but cannot because I have this feeling of tiredness.

You have diabetes? Tired all the time is a sign of low blood sugar, and feeling like you're gonna pass out is sign of high.
There may be an underlying problem that gives you ed, and you might want to cure that first ?:(
