Old post but, I have read many posts in my time on the impact of girth effecting length and visa-versa. Some men believe training girth may hinder length gains and I want to debate this. In my opinion Length and Girth not only complement each other but a small gain in both directions increase the total size of your penis then if you made the same gain in any single area
I hear people comparing the penis to rope or a rubber band stating that it is easier to stretch a thinner rope or band in comparison to a thicker one. I completely agree with this theory but I feel it is a poor penile comparison. The penis is more like a bag or a balloon as it is filled with blood when we get an erection and emptied when we are flaccid.
The reason I debate this is simple you can't fill a rope with liquid so it is impossible to expand the rope through increasing thickness. But you can expand a bag or balloons length and thickness by increasing its load capacity. When you fill a balloon past it’s capacity it not only grows wider but longer too. The penis is very similar to balloon in that when we fill it with blood during an erection it expands outward and upward.
With that said I think it is a bad decision to neglect girth in hopes for better length gains. I have always trained both Length and Girth with as much intensity as the other with very good results. What are your opinions?
This is an old pe question (but still very interesting) that has many different answers. I totally agree with you that comparing the penis to a rubber band (when thinking of the knowledge we know today about pe and penis anatomy) is an old view that have to be updated.
I also think that working girth and length at the same time works. But it could be so that working length only for a while and then girth and switch (switches approximate every 6 months) has a good side effect. I´m thinking that it might be so, that when you are on your length period, you get a girth decondition, then when your exclusive length period is over, and you switch to only working girth, your length is deconditioned and gains in girth comes quicker.
Then when you´ve finished say 6 months of girth work, your length has deconditioned then you switch to length.
I have not tried theese switches myself yet, but since all this talk about deconditioning lately, I have start to think anout that this switch may be an alternative to completely deconditioning.
I also agree with you that working and getting girth and length gains is a bit connected to eachother.
Studies have shown that by only using an [words=https://shop.mattersofsize.com/products/sizegenetics-penis-extender]extender[/words], mostly length gains is achieved but also some girth gains (but less)., and this happens without engorgement expansion.
So yes, I also think they are connected, that means that exclusive girth work also probably gives length gains (but just a little compared to girth gains).
The baloon comparising is way much better to easy describe the penis, than a rubber band.
We know that girth and length are possible to workout at the same time and get great gains(you are a proof of that DLD!).
Most new routine theories (like the switch length/girth) tries to achieve gains in a faster way.
Peers stressing for superfast gaining, feels sometimes like guys trying to be rich over one night. I think a stressed schedule of pe is sometimes dangerous for some individuals.
Pe is an art, a part of your life, and goals should be set for a realistic period,
and to me dedication remains the key for gains!
